Burge
Does anybody else follow him on twitter? The guy is such an arrogant cock, currently slagging off premiership players. Ahem Burge you NEVER reached that level and aren't fit to clean some of their boots. Perhaps if you'd concentrated more on the talent you had you may have played at a better level.
You're knocked out with who I am,
Look at you now, you're all in my hands.

Re: Burge
At last someone not treating him like some sort of god. Slagged the old Club off, had a move lined up to a little Welsh outfit & couldn't agree personal terms look where they are now  compared to where his chosen career path went. He was on his day a decent player, in my all time Diamonds 11 :?: possibly on the bench but not starting. If his tackles & forward runs were as strong as his opinions he would without doubt have played at a higher level.

Re: Burge
Yeah he does come across as a bit of a twat on twitter, but he is Rushden through and through.
That comment he made about the club when he moved to Oxford was taken out of context, and it was the Cobblers fans who milked it for all it was worth.

Re: Burge
Some one as intelligent as Andy, and he's far from a thick footballer, should know how their comments are going to be construed.
He can't claim the innocence of youth like another of our former players.

I thought the story doing the rounds at the time was that Miss Talbot put her foot down because she didn't like the shops on offer in Swansea.Brownie wrote:..... had a move lined up to a little Welsh outfit & couldn't agree personal terms ..

Re: Burge
Always had a word or two to say, sometimes close to the knuckle. Never forget the time he refused to play against Peterborough, but was happy to pick up his wages each week when h was out with a broken leg. Having said that, he was a good servant for the old RDFC and i'm sure he'd only want to see success for AFC
