Re: Northants Telegraph
If we have someone who would like to do match reports (over and above what Dave sends them) and interviews then I'm sure they would print the,.
More pertinently the ET is not a good vehicle to get news stories on. A better plan of action would be to provide articles to the herald & Post and especially the Rushden Reporter.
There's a job for someone.

So you're saying that someone should do THEIR jobs for them, for free? The herald & post thing is pretty limited, I bet most of the time it lands up in a bin or a hedge, plus a good % are out of area fans like me, so never would read it.SouthRushdenJFC wrote:If we have someone who would like to do match reports (over and above what Dave sends them) and interviews then I'm sure they would print the,.

I'm quite happy with the offy site, the only thing I would like to see is a pre match interview with starms to appear Friday afternoon, that's all I would do to improve it.
Re: Northants Telegraph
That is something we did in the first part of last season, with the input included in the match preview. With all the other things people are doing on the website we don't really have anybody with the time to do it - so any volunteers for that role - or any of the roles relating to the U21 side - would be welcomed.ron manager wrote:So you're saying that someone should do THEIR jobs for them, for free? We are more than happy for any of the publications mentioned to take information from the website - and I think we might have somebody willing to condense down the match reports for them, but I don't know whether that will encourage them to give us more column inches when it takes them three days to even mention on their "up-to-date" website we had our first win in the FA Cup on Tuesday evening (although better late than never I accept).

Formic, does Starms have an Email address, as I would be happy to ping some Q's across to him say mid week.
I would then obviously collate, sensor
, and put on the website if that helps you out.

Not at all, what I am saying is that if someone wants to give up their time to promote our club then those are the best lines to persue.ron manager wrote: So you're saying that someone should do THEIR jobs for them, for free?

Re: Northants Telegraph
I used to buy the ET everyday even if there was only small paragraph on diamonds, I would go out my way to buy it on a Friday for the match build up and then on Monday to read Mark Lea's rubbish. I would buy it like you say but there nothing in it for me. there loss I don't buy it. We get 500 at home every week plus a fan base that probably don't get to games who would probably buy it so they are really are missing out.
bit like radio Northampton sport, I always used to listen to on the way to nene park or if we were away even know clobbers was the main team which is fair enough but I knew I would get a fair coverage. On the way to the dog and duck last year for the Fakenham game I put it on listened to the build up for the K*ttering, corby, brackley game and they said there's some big games in the FA Vase today we have a reporter at Desborough and didn't even mention us!!!!!! Call me arrogant but who will be listening will care if Desborough win or lose, they then started giving us a bit of coverage for the Yaxley game but like the ET Its not worth me putting it on now so I've now stopped listening.

Radio Npton do no more than give out the UCL scores just before the end of the programme, they may have done a feature on 1 or 2 FA Cup games last week, but other than that they don't bother, even for the Spencer game, I can't remember them saying anything about us, bar perhaps in the readout of the UCL scores briefly saying congratulations to us.

Don't know why people are surprised at the coverage from the NT. They went weeky saying they was going to be a massive overhaul of their online presence. Their website is piss poor , a total mess. Im more surprised they will exsist, however i doubt that will be the case for too much longer

The coverage is shocking from
Bbc Northampton. Having worked on radio before I have contacted them a couple of times to offer to do reports from diamonds matches but without reply. Says it all really.

Re: Northants Telegraph
Well it is fair enough regarding regular reports of us seeing as we're a UCL club, but as the 2nd/3rd best supported club in the county, they really ought to give us some coverage when it comes to big games or cup games, maybe it'll change if we move up into the SL. Though very poor considering you actually offered, perhaps they couldn't bare us cutting 30 seconds into the hours and hours of Cobblers analysis and interviews!diamondblade85 wrote:The coverage is shocking from
