The much travelled Terry Fleming, Spalding's No 6, is their assistant manager is almost as old as Hopey.
He tried to get them moving in midfield.

It would seem that Dean Thomas is 'building for the future' and is assembling a squad for the UCL. Now it makes sense why they were so desperate to get Newman on a contract. :D

RJ gives Dean Thomas the traditional Chairman's 'vote of confidence'. :D

I think we need to resurrect "Desperate Measures" if it prevents pollution of our own match threads with Poppy issues - perhaps the Mods could move a few of these posts.

Well, we can look at the weather, the midweek exertion, but, it was a poor 1st half from us and we allowed Sleaford a little too much time on the ball. They did pass it well and kept the ball for a few periods, however, they were no real threat up front. We were quite slow off the mark and struggled to string several passes together until the opening goal. This just released the pressure button, because we all expected a display to follow on from Tuesday. A few players seemed to avoid some tackles, perhaps with fear of being slid into at a greater pace than normal because of the slippery surface. The 2nd half was much better and we were more convincing as a team. I do think if we played a better team than Sleaford, we may have been stung early in the game. A better test awaits us on Wednesday, and will prepare us for the trip to Northwood, who should offer a bit more firepower to test the defence.
3 points when we were not convincing, I will take that.
Dunks and Alfie, looking more together.
Deaks and Clarke, getting to gel.
McBride and Dent, sorting the middle.
Wizz and Gearing, causing problems on the flanks.
90 minutes please.

Good point well made, no need to sour any Diamonds related threads with scum talk, however with what they have been saying about their club, players & manager in the last few days we will be having a few laughs at their expence which I'm sure none of us want to miss out on  so someone visit page 6 & let's get it back to the fore at least till they sack the manager, home crowds drop below 325, the Flamingo gets a goal with his right peg & they finally win a bloody competitive match.

Well they say that football is all about opinions.........If we were not covincing and won 5-1, then we shouylkd batter every other team, but we won't.
Each game should be judged on it's own merit, we will play better and lose, we will play worse and win.

I was satisfied with the result, how we get there I don't really care 8-)
