Formic's point is that if the "bunch of half wits" who give up many hours of their own time to put the games on are unavailable, then there will be no game. However, it should be remembered that we don't set the dates for the ties, that's done by the FA.

We did consider moving the game to Wednesday and had that conversation with our players and officials and those of AFC Dunstable after the game yesterday. It quickly became apparent that too many people from both sides were unavailable so it was decided to play the game as scheduled on Tuesday.

If you'd rather stay home and watch England, enjoy but hopefully we'll see you at the D&D - I'm sure you'll be able to find out the score from the Ukraine somehow!

Where did I say that I wouldn't be at the D&D on Tuesday? I'll be there, don't you worry! :D

I'm always impressed by the dedication of the AFC R&D fans. We saw last season that even when there was something like the Olympics Opening Ceremony, or various Olympics Gold Medal events, we'd still get a great attendance at the Dog & Duck.

Perhaps those who suffered the wall-to-wall dross in the Garry Hill days realise what we have now is worth supporting.

Strange, as according to their program they were due to face Hatfield in the league on Wednesday so would have thought they would have been available :?

unbelievably we do take most things into consideration when we make these decisions they aren't just made off the cuff!

We thought having our full squad to choose form was slightly better than watching england, but perhaps we were wrong. The game is a bonus so if only 300 turn up it's not the end of the world, though I would expect for most fans it would be a no brainer.

Nothing will ever be more taxing than Crawley at home in 2008/09.

Oh and for Scarey, the England game will be on ITV (unless I'm mistaken) so I'm guessing it will be on in the bar if you want to watch both games.

If Scarey is so desperate to see England huff and puff in Ukraine he could always avail himself of the latest technology available and record the game and watch it when he returns from the Dog n' Duck.

Those were the days ..... I'll know when we are in trouble when Starms says that the team has to "turn around" ;)

IIRC wasn't it Garry always "turning round" to players and saying stuff? He'd often say it more than once in an interview, to make it sound like he was constantly spinning around in the middle of the dressing room.

Also "in respect of" is another great phrase of his, along with the legendary "errrrrr" of course. ;)
