The quickest that lino moved all night was when he ran prematurely on the pitch thinking the ref had blown for full time. :D

At one point we had a goal kick, which rolled past the linesman on Dales Bar side, crossy had to collect it himself and remarked to the lino "didn't fancy kicking it back then?"
To which the lino replied "I'm not here to do that!" or something along those lines!!!
I don`t think they are allowed to kick it back are they :?: Still who cares we are in the next round, have a bloody good squad and playing decent football, I`m not going to get upset about crap officials till one costs us a game at which point it`s public flogging time

Regarding the disallowed goal. Unless my mind is playing tricks (and the highlights will decide either way I suppose) I felt like Alfie was a couple of yards away from the defender that stuck it in, and also behind him. It may even have been the case that the defender didn't know Alfie was there. Immediately I thought it looked like a really poorly judged interception.

As for their goal, I thought that was an OG from Aaron King, albeit you wouldn't really attach any blame to him.

I could be made to look a fool when the highlights are available. ;)

I thought it was a decent performance and certainly a dominant one when we had 10 men. Dunstable were not that imposing as I thought they would be, however, they must have had to finish work early, dash home for their personal kit and then head off up the M1 to get here on time, so they may have been a little unorganised on the day. The team worked hard and the changes in the starting line up, justified the managers choice. Dunkley played a good leading role, King linked up well, I just wish he would not take so many touches near goal, and I thought Cross was the best I have seen him. For me, Harris was MOM, did everything right, simple, effective and didn't break from his position.
I was standing with 3 others to see, clearly, Joe stamp on the player. The player made the most of it, but, we all said, what a silly thing to do.
Into the next round, and now back to the famous Cup competition on Saturday...

See you there.

I thought it would have been common courtesy to return it?

But yeah great result over all, considering we were down to 10 men, I think we can be a match for anyone on our day.

If they were all so daft as to not take their kit to work with them then unorganised yep, I think we are all giving various reasons for the result but the fact remains Dunstable were a decent team on Sat 7th who at times played some very good football, by Tue 10th they had the Clubs leading goal scorer back so you would presume were stronger and had their backsides kicked by 10 men, the main reasons, we were organised, showed good discipline worked hard as a unit and played some nice stuff, they went in at half time thinking "in the bag" with us a man down, came out and didn`t produce a single worth while effort in 45/47mins, give our lot some credit last night was good, very good.
Agree with the Brad shout for MOTM hardy a foot out of place, just sits there doing a job, though not a very glamours one which he does well, hence not getting noticed much.
Kingy was very good early on (first 35mins) but when the real work started got the wrong side of the ball a few to many times, as you say a few to many touches sometimes and some not required attempted 40 yard balls when a 10 yard one was available and a better option, though that is being Uber critical.
Glad someone else saw what I thought I did, though would have preferred none of us to have seen anything, sure he will learn from it & have no doubt it will never be repeated.

Luton Today report including a quote from the Dunstable Manager Alex Butler:

http://www.lutontoday.co.uk/sport/local ... ce=dlvr.it
Alex Butler wrote:It’s the old cliché we were beaten by the better team on the night.

R&D are clearly a quality side, we were unfortunate to face them at this early stage, but we had the chances to beat them in the home tie.

A contributing factor was tired legs after extra-time on Saturday, with some of our key players choosing to then play on the Sunday.

Perhaps our team selection was wrong, but we have the quality and confidence to bounce back in our next game on Saturday at Creasey Park against Hadley.

Reading that report it's clear that AFC Dunstable didn't have a chance because we are, of course, a former Football League club.

Good honest comments though, not sure all managers would say what he did. We were better much better, after all the game was changed by the sending off, we just got stronger

And apparently Joe "hacked down" their player.. :| in my opinion it was an accidental stamp, Joe just isn't that type of player.
Their player made a meal of it, the Brazilian players would have been proud of that rolling around!
