Seconded from the back benchesrushdenman wrote:I think we need to look at the bigger picture - most supporters would have agreed before the season started that a successful season this year would include a top 6 League finish plus a decent run in the F A Cup and /or the Vase.
I think we are ticking all the boxes so far.

What should put this result into perspective is that the team top of the UCL Prem were beaten 5-3 by Cockfosters

Agreed. The concern at the moment is our failure to win away from home but I'm not complaining if that is the only problem we haverushdenman wrote:I think we need to look at the bigger picture - most supporters would have agreed before the season started that a successful season this year would include a top 6 League finish plus a decent run in the F A Cup and /or the Vase.

Ladies and gentlemen, Elvis has left the building.

In the eyes of some Stageman that was i`m sure because Cogenhoe had an off day, though they did say prior to us going there the pitch was pants and not the place to try and play football :( though if we had played like Cockfosters, max 3 passes get it wide and hit long diagonal balls all day0 I have no doubt complaints would have rained in that we are one dimensional and don`t play any football. In fact they did as I was reliably informed on Saturday. Having Dunks in our team has ruined the way we playSTAGMAN wrote:What should put this result into perspective is that the team top of the UCL Prem were beaten 5-3 by Cockfosters
Roll on tomorrow when hopefully we play another SML Prem side off the pitch and we can enjoy a few hours of praise for a decent performance, prior to the Wed onset of panic as to weather we are good enough to have a chance against Hoddesdon, or be able to compete in the following Tuesdays cage fight against the WWF tag team champions.

Jeez that was the worst pint of Cask Real Ale that I'd had in a very long time. Probably a new barrel when the Cooks played there a week ago or the bar manager had left cleaning fluid in the line. I was not alone in thinking this and we are probably spoilt by having the excellent Harts on offer at the Dog and Duck.Brownie wrote: I know the Speckled Hen was good there but was it that strong :?:

Russ Dunkley is currently on 9 assists (in addition to his 7 goals) - so in other words, he has been involved in 16 of the 27 goals so far this season.Brownie wrote:Sure someone will advise exact numbers but from 10 games Dunks has scored 7 and must be in double figures for assists
[Closest to this total are Sam Brown, Alfie Taylor and Fazel Koriya all on 3 assists].

Not a total stato but Little Brownie on 3 :?: Alfie @ Deeping Dunks x 2 Colney & Dunstable, Gearing V Colney. Long throws don't count :?:Noddy wrote:Russ Dunkley is currently on 9 assists (in addition to his 7 goals) - so in other words, he has been involved in 16 of the 27 goals so far this season.Brownie wrote:Sure someone will advise exact numbers but from 10 games Dunks has scored 7 and must be in double figures for assists

That aside Dunks does appear to be reasonably involved in goals scored apart from any other contributions he might make.
