In the eyes of some Stageman that was i`m sure because Cogenhoe had an off day, though they did say prior to us going there the pitch was pants and not the place to try and play football :( though if we had played like Cockfosters, max 3 passes get it wide and hit long diagonal balls all day0 I have no doubt complaints would have rained in that we are one dimensional and don`t play any football. In fact they did as I was reliably informed on Saturday. Having Dunks in our team has ruined the way we play  we were better with the Flamingo last season :o and if K*ttering fold we should welcome him back with open arms  Sure someone will advise exact numbers but from 10 games Dunks has scored 7 and must be in double figures for assists, and i`m sure you have all noticed how he has the ability to HOLD THE BALL UP AND BRING OTHERS INTO PLAY. I know the Speckled Hen was good there but was it that strong :?:
Roll on tomorrow when hopefully we play another SML Prem side off the pitch and we can enjoy a few hours of praise for a decent performance, prior to the Wed onset of panic as to weather we are good enough to have a chance against Hoddesdon, or be able to compete in the following Tuesdays cage fight against the WWF tag team champions.

LMAO, why did no one save me 8-)

Russ Dunkley is currently on 9 assists (in addition to his 7 goals) - so in other words, he has been involved in 16 of the 27 goals so far this season.
[Closest to this total are Sam Brown, Alfie Taylor and Fazel Koriya all on 3 assists].
Says it all really, of course the tactic doesn't always work, it was very frustrating at Huntingdon when they sussed us out, at times we could have done with a plan b and my dad has a habit of moaning about him every time he fails to get to a ball, but no one can deny how significant a player he has been for us this season and with players like Kingy, Faz and Liburd, we do have other options going forward as well.

I'm becoming concerned that posters on this site are being put down for having an opinion. That would be very damaging to our support and club. Let's give people the right to voice their feelings without shouting them down.

Just watched the highlight - my word that pitch was crap! No wonder we ended up hoofing it! It was bobbling about all over the place! Decent result on that pitch, and going by the Cogenhoe score! People need to get a f**king grip. That's why I don't come on here if we don't win, for some people it's the end of the world and people hit panic button. Football is football, every team has off days/effected by the conditions.

You have to admit though, we do go a bit OTT as soon as we have a bad game. Maybe it's because we're a bit used to winning so easily? We've had 3 league defeats in 40 games and after every one we've responded excellently, including going on a 22-match unbeaten run to gain promotion and beating Northwood in the FA Cup. Everyone agreed that they'd be happy with top 6 and a run in the FA Cup and Vase this season, what's changed so suddenly? We're well on course to achieving all of those targets, even at this early stage.

A slip-up at this stage isn't the end of the world. Even if we go out tomorrow it's still been a good cup run. :)

I've seen nothing ott just a few differing points of view. Dont you think we're being a little over protective?

Your right and wrong Robin ;)

I agree that everyone should have a voice and be able to voice their opinion, I agree 100%.

But this is where we'll disagree, if someone voices an opinion and other people don't agree with it, then they have a right to reply. Having the right to voice your opinion is one thing, having the right to not be challenged on it is another thing all together. The trick is to debate things and put your differing views across without falling out - we all support the same club and want the best for it, but people will disagree about how that is achieved.

Message-boards like this are just for that purpose - to give people a place to air their views, to chat about their differing ideas, but hopefully in a fun and friendly manner. Just because someone has a view, it doesn't mean they can't be challenged on it, it'd be boring if we all agreed :D

Personally I think to say we're a worse team with Dunks it in is plain daft, but I know there are people that disagree with me, but I'd have Dunks up against Newman any day of the week and I think some of the stats banded around prove the point - but that's my opinion, others can shoot me down if they want, but I ain't changing it, nor will I get upset if they do ;)

Not really, admittedly I'm looking from the outside in, we came back twice to draw away from home against a good side. After doing exactly the same twice before and then convincingly winning the replays why the negativity?

Jeez, someone has actually said that? They really do need to get a grip! He's been the standout player so far this season. How is it his fault if sometimes we resort to hoofing it too him more often than we should?! He's playing at least two levels below his natural, as is Faz and a few others, we should be privileged he's playing for us.

Jim i dont disagree about "challenging" views and opinions but i do think the way that has been done is ott at times. I'm sure our players are big enough to realise when they've played below par then have the skill and determination to go out and play better next time.
Mr bitch, i dont recall being negative .
