[ Sat 14th Sep ] Cockfosters v AFC R&D FA CUP
Re: [ Sat 14th Sep ] Cockfosters v AFC R&D FA CUP
This has turned into quite an epic thread, and yet its difficult to see why. I've looked back at the whole thing, and I can't see any "out of order" criticism - just the normal differing of opinions you get after a game. The overall flavour of discussion isn't that far from Mark Starmer's view of the game - which is well worth watching on the video - where he doesn't shy from away from accepting things weren't 100% at the game.
I think debate like this is good - far better than some of the savage criticism the full-timers of R&DFC used to get on previous versions of this board - even the likes of David Bell was recommended to seek out an alternative career after he had a bad game, and there were many who couldn't see what a prospect Lee Tomlin was.

I checked on this last night, and there's no record of a booking for Dunkley at that game.Formic wrote:I'll have to check on that - he was certainly pulled aside for a word by the ref.SouthRushdenJFC wrote:I thought Dunkely picked up a yellow for gobbing off, despite a couple of warningsFormic wrote:Mal's pics are added to the Match Report - http://www.afcdiamonds.com/cockfosters- ... diamonds-2

The assists are now on the stats page - http://www.afcdiamonds.com/201314-senior-statsNoddy wrote:I'm impressed - just making sure you are keeping count ;)Brownie wrote:Not a total stato but Little Brownie on 3 :?: Alfie @ Deeping Dunks x 2 Colney & Dunstable, Gearing V Colney. Long throws don't count :?:
We'll add them to the stats page in the near future.
Sam has been given the assist for the Gearing "solo" goal after further consideration - and no arm twisting was involved ;)

Cracking answer   like all things related to football it`s a matter of opinion, though like your theory of "if a player takes more than 3 touches then scores, sod what happened prior to that" as said before the clue was who did Matt look for as he turned away.Formic wrote:The assists are now on the stats page - http://www.afcdiamonds.com/201314-senior-statsNoddy wrote:I'm impressed - just making sure you are keeping count ;)Brownie wrote:Not a total stato but Little Brownie on 3 :?: Alfie @ Deeping Dunks x 2 Colney & Dunstable, Gearing V Colney. Eased off by tea time :?: sounds like the words of an elderly gent sitting with his cup of Yorkshire finest & a packet of Hob Nobs for dunking while the rest of us keep the wheels of Industry turning. Oh just seen top left corner quote="Trek" so that`s exactly what is was :lol:Trek wrote:Rain is moving South East I think so hope it will be easing by tea time.Pigman wrote:Wet and horrid where I am - hopefully the pitch will be okay tonight, for what I'm hoping is a rip roaring Cup tie !!
