He was right in my eye line on his lap top as we were bombarding the Cockfosters goal in the first half so not difficult to observe.Bob's Bitch wrote:As opposed to spending lots of time watching Jon Dunham? ;)Trek wrote:Spends a lot of time on twitter, occasionally lifting his head to watch the action.SouthRushdenJFC wrote:

I'm hoping our first home 1000+ crowd will come this season, but I'd say it'll be more like 700 maybe for this one, City probably won't bring more than 50 or so.Bob's Bitch wrote:Close to 1,000 for the Cambridge game maybe?

Wellingborough are at home to Harborough on the 28th. Will our game take precedence or will it be shifted to the Friday/Sunday?

Replace the keeper :?: the only thing that could have helped Cockfosters last night would have been a good bricklayer between the posts, as little else would have kept us out in that form  I trust EVERYONE was happy with the result and performance  other than Dunk who I`m sure would have loved to have stayed on long enough to get a double hat trick, about another 5mins should have been enough :lol:TheIncognitoKid wrote:I know we will all want to see the goals again during the highlights, but I so hope the cameraman caught footage of the horror kick from their keeper! :lol:Olly wrote:And if I was the Cockfosters' manager, I'd be replacing that goalie, he was dodgy in the first game, dodgy tonight, too short as the 2nd goal showed and must by far the worst kicker I've seen at any level.

The were two from Cambridge there last night, the biggest hurdle they had to overcome was getting past me on the gate for free  they left after 40mins stating we`ve seen enough :!: and on the way our asked "how did you not finish this on Sat" I explained the players were on a % of all gate revenue. They then asked for directions to Bedford as off to catch 2nd half of match V Chesham.sussexdiamond wrote:26 goals in 5 home games. That's Entertainment!! Bring on the City.
I should imagine if they were watching tonights game they must be praying Dunks gets injured soon.
Lets put Hoddesdon to the sword now.

Well, what a win. We certainly didn't expect a goal-fest. The whole team has gone and done the job, no-one can pick fault with any part of the game or the players. Good to see Parky involved again.
I cannot believe that the keeper is their 1st choice, I am convinced that one of the outfield players would do a much better job and he must surely cost them points and can't fill the defence with confidence. He was, however, extremely entertaining.
What have the 'stats guys' got for 5 goals from 5 headers... Is it the first time for the league ?

Great result and first class entertainment. Dunks is unplayable at present. We must have a chance against Cambridge although we will need Parky's experience at the back. Despite the clean sheet, our central defenders looked uncertain at times which would have been expoited by a better team - don't forget that Cockfosters missed an open goal early on.
Ladies and gentlemen, Elvis has left the building.

I notice that last season there was a "player of the round", starting at this stage, and decided by judges until the first round proper. Let's hope that they do something similar this season following the remaining replays tonight - http://www.thefa.com/TheFACup/More/player-of-the-round
The stats have been updated following the game, as have the fixture lists.

A word of praise to the referee. We have had a few issues recently with refs but the guy last night handled the game very well. The conditions were very wet and condusive to encouraging some very strong sliding tackles (Alfie and Joe). I know it was not a difficult game in the end as the outcome was decided quite early on.
What impressed most was the way he dealt with the fracas near the end. He could have easily booked a couple of players at least but just calmed everybody down. Had that been Saturdays ref I am sure someone would have been sent off.
The linos did a pretty good job too. Is Mr Pitoyr Roj (sorry if that is not quite correct) going to become a regular feature at our home matches???

By the way, Clarke won by 2 falls and a submission
