I wonder how common it is to have joint player-managers as is the case with Wisbech. They don't always both start, but in some games they have.

It was like the ref had his own rulebook for much of this match, some really strange and poor decisions for both sides. Don't know how Kingy's first booking was a foul, it was a reckless lunge yes, but he was nowhere near the player. Plus the ref missed what I'm pretty sure was a back pass and indirect free-kick in the first half. Even for us there was some weird ones, like mystery corners, the penalty was a good decision but still some very odd decisions throughout.

Things just didn't go right for us today though, some poor decision making all round, misplaced passes and for once Dunks only had himself to blame at the end with that golden opportunity instead of everyone around him which he usually does. Don't know why some of the home fans were cheering at the end of the game? Though I.must say it was a nice change to see some home fans in the UCL for once and it was a nice place with a decent pitch.

With him being pissed off the other night, I fear the worst, but fingers crossed its not another departure and he gets a start on Tuesday, cause I think we could afford to rest a few on Tuesday and I'd be really disappointed to lose Lance. Will be interesting to see who comes in for Kingy as well, could have done with Dent to come in there.

For me the formation didn't suit us today. Starmer frequently mentioned in his post-match interview against Desborough that they'd use that formation dependant on the opposition. So my question is this - do we have our opposition watched?

I mentioned in another thread that against PNS we paid no attention to their star man (infact we did the total opposite and actually rested our first-choice right back), today we've gone with two holding midfielders when Wisbech were utterly toothless up front and on that basis it was unnecessary. You might say that our formation restricted them, but it also restricted us. We spent a lot of time getting the Dunkley/Taylor partnership to work, and it did/does work. Today Koriya and Taylor were too far away from Dunkley for us to create anything meaningful and in the end it became very frustrating.

We looked better when Nat came on and he started whipping some decent crosses in, and you'd have to say we were the better side overall but we've got to sharpen up in the final third.

Was Lance with the U21's? Why only 4 on the bench?

I suppose I should save the last word for the ref, afterall we did all turn up to watch him today didn't we? I think that was the textbook 'how not to referee a football game' performance.
They say we've lost our money we're not famous anymore.....

I heard that both Lance and Gilly had indeed left, I really hope this is wrong and just a bit of gossip but i fear the worst.
