Some help needed
Some help needed
Hi, it's me again 8-)
We are doing a bit of work on Sunday morning at the D&D, and we could do with a few hands :?
This is the final phase of getting the ground grading improved.
We are concreting the "Bear Pit" in front of the main stand and will need some people to help barrow the concrete.
We are also putting a small shelter up by the turnstiles and Brownie will need a hand with that
also next Friday we are taking delivery of some extra seating courtesy of the Olympic legacy plan, so will need a few bodies to help off load these, timings to be confirmed
Please PM me or see me tomorrow
(Jim, before you post, I know you can't be there  )

Re: Some help needed
Does that mean we are going to have a cover over us for the coming winter. If so yipee ;)
Re: Some help needed
That will depend on how tomorrow goes, and which way I go Sunday morning, D&D for cover building or Tavistock St in Bedford for a Full English.Posh Tart wrote:Does that mean we are going to have a cover over us for the coming winter. If so yipee ;)

Re: Some help needed
I'd have popped along Sunday morning but alienating the volunteers before they help probably wasn't a good idea. Just saying
You're knocked out with who I am,
Look at you now, you're all in my hands.

We're a democratic organisation not to mention big & ugly enough to accept criticism. If you're a member and want to help turn up.rudolph_hucker wrote:I'd have popped along Sunday morning but alienating the volunteers before they help probably wasn't a good idea. Just saying

Bump !!
I'll be over to help with the shelter, unfortunately I can't do the concreting due to a knackered knee - but i'll help put the shelter up - if anyone else can offer assistance it'll be a great help - this is for ground grading remember, to enable the us to get promoted if we can

Ground grading standards seem so very high nowadays. It is pretty obvious that Sleaford have no desire to get promoted. Their ground is so basic. Probably the most undeveloped ground we have visited. I am glad the wind was not blowing across the pitch or we would have frozen.
Re: Some help needed
We should not worry about ither clubs, we should make sure we are ready to gain promotion, should it be granted 8-)
