I'll be there in spirit. I have to miss football till next year, but my heart is there.
You're knocked out with who I am,

I did Loughborough Dynamo V Eastwood last Tuesday (which had a paltry crowd of 66 at Step 4). Was thinking of doing St Andrews V Graham Street Prims but the ground looks a bit primitive so i've opted for Corby V Banbury tomorrow night instead.Brownie wrote: What has everyone got lined up for Tue night footy. Did Bedford V Hemel last week, thinking Barton Rovers V Dunstable could be a good call tomorrow?? 1st V 3rd & only 5 league defeats between them, or is anyone doing Graham St Prims V St Andrews.
I'm having to miss my 4th ever AFC R&D game on Saturday, but we've won the previous 3!

Your one in front of me then Raz as last Sat (not a good one to miss) was my 5th, changed my plans for tonight now as weather forecast is dreadful, staying local at a ground that has cover full length one side which happens to be the side where the bar is, and hopefully can talk Sam into coming and being designated driver, so it`s Kempston Rovers V Yaxley.BartonRaz wrote:I did Loughborough Dynamo V Eastwood last Tuesday (which had a paltry crowd of 66 at Step 4). Might bump into you at the Corby game! I was planning on going in order to get a midweek football fix.BartonRaz wrote:I did Loughborough Dynamo V Eastwood last Tuesday (which had a paltry crowd of 66 at Step 4). Fortunately Tattershall Road has been updated in the past few seasons and there is now plenty of cover - as detailed on their website - http://www.bostontownfc.co.uk/index.php ... &page_id=8 . We might need this given the current forecast for Saturday.
It states that some replacement seating has been sourced from Saltergate, where Chesterfield used to play - I hope its not from the old away end there, which wasn't the best as I recall.

Still picking the splinters out of my b*m from those timber bench seats. Dreadful day and even worse performance IIRC.Formic wrote: I hope its not from the old away end there, which wasn't the best as I recall.

I don't know what the weather's like in England, is Saturday's game in doubt?

The weather has been very bad over the last couple of days. The televised Crawley/Bristol Rovers Cup replay was abandoned last night after 70 minutes in the second half after the ref decided that water polo rules weren't appropriate!
As for Boston, it has a higher water table level than the Dog & Duck so if heavy rain is forecast on Saturday then I should imagine that the game might be in doubt.

See Boston are starting to get excited about a bumper crowd Sat. Whilst I fully understand things are different when you get close to the wash I do believe Christmas is still on 25th, hopefully we will take 150+ but doubt we will get near the 250+ that went last week. So I hope the burger order wasn't to big, unless the Boston Committee are having a Christmas Day BBQ.

There will be 2 less than they may have accounted for. We can't get out of the annual scramble for certain goods to be purchased at Fosse Park.... Love it NOT.
Good luck to the team
