Community Coaches
Does anyone know anything about the details of the community coaching program? I'd love to get involved, but apart from mentioning the Level One badges on the OWS there's not much information available. I'd love to hear fromk anyone who has experience with this or coaching elsewhere, since it's something I'm dying to get into, but finding anything out is proving to be harder than making Pigman say anything negative! :P

Re: Community Coaches
We are always looking for new coaches.
Have you an idea of which age group you'd like to get involved with? Our most pressing need is with the Little Diamonds ready for Weetabix League next season and next seasons Under 10's, who have enough players to enter another team but no volunteer stepping forward to coach.
To start with you will need to DBS clearance. Before you can take charge of a team we would require you to take the Level 1 coaching badge, which will be paid for on completion.
Most of our teams play on Sundays and train on Saturdays. If you took on the U10#s then you work with an experienced coach (safety in numbers!), the Little Diamonds would be with me through to September and then our Under 8 coaches will be on hand.
We are currently going through some changes on the Community side, one of which is to offer our coaches more support and a clear pathway to improve themselves and therefore our players.
It's an exciting time to get involved.
Come and find me on Saturday, if you are going, and we can talk in more detail.
