Re: Tonights games
I would be very surprised if the FA promoted a third placed team.
To even get the second place you have to have exceptional circumstances.

Spalding do not already have the required ground grading for Step 4. They still have some work to do before the end of March deadline in order to qualify.BartonRaz wrote:Bob's Bitch wrote:...Spalding were fortunate that they already had a certificate from their previous spell in the level above as their ground was dreadful.

Re: Tonights games
Hmmm, anyone else feel like nipping over to Spalding with a few sledgehammers? ;)
Jokes aside, it would be a shame if Spalding didn't go up this year, 'cause then the UCL would have to deal with another league title bought with a Conference budget.

Re: Tonights games
I am under the impression that the Fenland clubs have their own mini-league battles and are only interested in ending up Top of the Fens. I don't feel convinced that Spalding are wanting to go up, even if they win the league. They are not prepared for a return to their previous level and are wary of another relegation and what that will do to the club. And another thing, they do not have the support to carry them up a level.
I think ourselves and Huntingdon are more suited to promotion, with only us having applied along with Spalding. :?:

More ambitious?? Is that why they applied for promotion?? Oh, a massive flaw in that argument !! ;)FOOTYMAN wrote:Indeed, I meant Huntingdon are more ambitious and better run as a club.

I can't see how Huntingdon could have applied unless they had a big warchest to upgrade their ground prior to the inspection deadline.Pigman wrote:More ambitious??
