Due to the number of league fixtures still to be played.
Means we still hold the cup

Didn't we win it 2 seasons ago?? And lost the league play off to Yaxley last season.Sid wrote:Abandoned for this season.

Good quiz question then. Who else has won a cup once & held it for 3 years, excluding the obvious war years etc.Sid wrote:We won the cup 2 years ago, it was abandoned last season as well. The play off is completely unconnected it is between the winners of the 2 divisions to give the overall champions.
As it's you asking the question, I would guess it was Everton, and the cup was some mickey mouse competition that no one cares about, and it was probably in the 19th century when the Toffee's occasionally used to win things, and their supporters still go on about it over 100 years later despite their success occurring long before living memory.Brownie wrote:Good quiz question then. West Auckland who won the Sir Thomas Lipton Trophy first in 1909. ;)Brownie wrote: Who else has won a cup once & held it for 3 years, excluding the obvious war years etc.
Not a clue just giving Trek something to do, and as expected he has come up with the goods, whilst yourself just dribbled on for a few lines after which i`m sure you felt a whole lot better. As a blue I will have some more recent football matters to discuss on Saturday, that is as soon as I can find Biff :lol:davealbon wrote:As it's you asking the question, I would guess it was Everton, and the cup was some mickey mouse competition that no one cares about, and it was probably in the 19th century when the Toffee's occasionally used to win things, and their supporters still go on about it over 100 years later despite their success occurring long before living memory.Brownie wrote:Good quiz question then.
