The '7 day approach' is when players are not under contract. As Alfie is on a contract then it's a 'loan' situation. However, Tom Cross is on 'dual registration' because he is playing for a club in a different league to us. Both Joe Henderson and Jack Ashton are also on 'dual registration'.

I would guess all parties have to agree to the deal, that includes both clubs and the player.

If Alfie didn't want to go then I'm sure he wouldn't move - but if all that's likely to be on offer to him in the short term is u21's football with us, I'm sure he's decided to move for first team football.

Trek, at the end of the day they are just fancy words which means nothing. The website was worded that Tom cross is on a dual registration, yet the club will hold his ucl premier status. We know tom ain't going to return? So does that mean if 2 of the 4 strikers get injured the club can call Alfie back?

After his outburst on twitter, I'm not surprised he's gone out on loan.

But like I said the other day in a post, judging by his twitter comments he hasn't been happy for a while.

Hopefully it isn't the last we see of him, but I fear it will be.

As he is on contract I guess so.

Don't think he could have gone to either of those as its a loan deal, sure the rules don't allow a loan to another Club in same Division. Maybe when the dust settles Alfie will decide he wants to be past of the Clubs future not just it's history in which he is assured a place.

I've said it from day one. A lot of you are so amazed by his ability to bend one in the top corner that you completely miss the fact that he misses a ridiculous amount of easy chances. Most games I forget he's playing and his work rate is sometimes questionable. That being said he does have 'natural' ability but there are better goal scorers out there for me, goal scorers that don't feel the need to vent every frustration on twitter.

The club obviously feel the need to remove Alfie at the minute, why question that? If they felt they had a player they couldn't live without or replace, trust me he wouldn't be loaned out to BPW.

Thanks for the important contributions at times Alfie and I'm sure you'll do well for BPW.

Onwards and upwards...

Very disappointed and surprised at this news, as I was with the news that he had been dropped on Saturday. But even so, despite him being top scorer this season, I still don't think he's had a particularly good season overall and has been a bit anonymous in recent games he's played, so maybe its for the best for both parties. Though I'm nevertheless sad that he probably won't play for us again, as I did think he'd be one of those players that would be here a long time.
