Tonight's Results
PNS 3 Huntingdon 2 :P
Deeping 3 Sileby 1. We slip down to 4th on goal difference but have a game in hand on Deeping.
2nd in the league is still on for us. Need to beat Yaxley on Friday now and hope Spalding do the business on Saturday.

In case some of you haven't seen, our web team include the attendance data on the first team stats page - http://www.afcdiamonds.com/201314-senior-stats - where you can also see how these figures compare to their lowest gates of the season.Trek wrote:Last Night's attendances:-
Deeping/Sileby 35
PNS/Huntingdon 68
Wellingborough/Harborough 64
I know Chelsea were on the box but that's really poor.

Re: Tonight's Results
Further to Huntingdon - they have apparently been put on notice for being 'moved laterally' next season (one would think to ECL).
I think it unlikely, but it wouldn't be a bad thing for us!

Or for them. The ECL is not of as high standard than the UCL these days, 10 years ago it was far stronger, but they have lost all their best clubs since then.Everyweeker wrote:Further to Huntingdon - they have apparently been put on notice for being 'moved laterally' next season (one would think to ECL).

Re: Tonight's Results
Moving clubs out of the UCL is a strange one considering the Prem only has 19 clubs now....unless of course it is a cunning plan by the FA to get rid of the UCL altogether, just as they tried last year.
Maybe I'm just an old cynic.

Really can't see spalding putting up a performance next week either. As if after the incident at our place payment will want us to finish 2nd

We could put the blame on ourselves a little, having not taken our chances against Huntingdon in either match thus going onto get beatcorby diamond wrote:Really can't see spalding putting up a performance next week either. Re: Tonight's Results
Forgive my ignorance, but how would we secure promotion if things go our way? I read something about a Southern League side dropping out of their league, but I'm really stumped for how we might fluke our way out of the UCL?
