Yeah, lets not kid ourselves, we wont get 3000+ home fans, it will never happen, even if Luton had just the airwair, we would likely outnumber us, but i still believe willingly giving over half of your stadium to the away team is well out of order
Well you could be right there, but our home support has grown with our promotion push and there are a lot of ex-fans out there just waiting to climb back on the band wagon.
Another alternative is to give them a 'horse-shoe' of seats - the Airway + adjacent last blocks in the N and S stands.

Horse shoe was always the idea i believed they would go for, that way they dont have any of our corporate seats (Happy days for the lucky Luton fans that will get the padded North Stand seats) we can keep the boxes to the home fans and it keeps them relativley in one area, would love to hear from the club why they didnt decide on that idea
I'm sorry but this is too far. Sure give them the Airwair and C5 but for f***'s sake don't piss off our own fans. Not all of our fans want to stand and so there will only be about 900 seats for home fans (South Stand) which isn't enough. We saw in League One that we regularly filled our seats but never filled the terrace and this will happen again. It also has to be said that we'll make money from the bumper crowd in the Play-Off Semi so it's not as if we're in dire need of it. The Airwair and C5 should be more than enough for Luton, if they want more then f*** them.

This was the idea i thought, give them the seats that we don't use, don't move our fans...if some of there fans can't get tickets.....tough, it's a f*cking away game!

Have to get there first. We aren't there yet, and there is no garuntee that it would be a bumper crowd (although it should be). If we were to play Luton I wonder if we would give them the same again or force them into the airwair only.
We had Luton fans in boxes in the past, maybe there is extra money to be made by selling some of the corperate boxes through Luton to their fans?
I think in the current financial climate, with no-one willing to stump up money in January fro the two main assets we have (Jacko's sell on and Tomlin), then it could well be neccessary for the survival of the club over the summer when there is no income, or for maintaining the current level of budget for next seasons team under JE.
I personally think its a great idea and will maximise income for the club, I don't get why NS fans are so upset, is the view so greatly inferior in the South Stand then??
WE NEED MONEY TO SURVIVE !! You don't need to be Sherlock Holmes to work that out - its the hard financial facts of life and while I don't like giving over half the ground, I can fully understand why its being done (if this is indeed true).
Your loyalty as a fan over the years is to be applauded, but is making a sacrifice to sit in a different seat in an almost identical stand to ensure the club gets much needed revenue to survive too much to ask? We're not bankrolled anymore in case you hadn't noticed - sometimes finances dictate things !!
Raising awareness of Motor Neurone Disease RIP Dale Roberts - gone, but never forgotten!!
We are and will get there, mark my words. This has annoyed me though and will annoy me when I see it on the day. The last thing we need is trouble and I wouldn't put it past Luton's wankerish fans ripping up the North Stand/Airwair. Really bad decision in my opinion, Christ I hope we don't get those pricks in the Play-Off Semi, because then all profit will be washed away with the policing bill from both games.
Lots of issues surrounding this but in regard to ST holders - the best thing to do to avoid future disappointment is for all of us in the N Stand to buy our tickets for next season in the S Stand. This will leave the N Stand to casual support and then free for the club to use as an away stand whenever they please.
Would even go as far as to say maybe the club should do this anyway - apparently they don't mind upsetting loyal supporters - may as well get it over in one go..eh?
agree this is out of order not only for upsetting our own loyal fans but also for the fact that the ground will be half full of luton fans.
it looks as though its gonna be a massive game for both clubs and they will make some noise.
we got out sung by oxford tonight, with all those seats it will be a big disadvantage for our players.
but if 40k is right we HAVE to do this for the stabillity of the club.
also with table positions as things stand we would play them in the semis so a week later thats another 40 grand.....thats 80,000 quid for away fans only, in just 2 home games!
i dont think keith would have done this unless it was needed.
