Two points lost or a point gained?
Re: Two points lost or a point gained?
Definite point gained. Neither team bossed the game and although Oxfords goal came from a defensive mix up I didn't think we looked all that threatening either.

A point gained. We didn't play as well as we could and didn't deserve to win IMO. We seem a little bit one dimensional with this formation at times, and we don't seem to want to change it. We look like a team that's waiting for something to happen (instead of making it happen), but can't see what. Use the 4-4-2 as a tool to get a positive result JEMS, don't abandon it completely.

No brainer. Point gained against a team that up to recently was romping away with the title. Both sides appeared to cancel themselves out for much of the game.
A further point on Saturday should also be regarded as a point gained although we may well sneak the three points.
I will, however, be expecting us to thrash those monkies at the Rockinhorse this Tuesday.

I have to agree with others and its a point gained....our first was a own goal, their one was our defensive error.......so i cant see it being a 2 point loss. We do need to push on and give a bit more to get those goals..dont get me wrong, i know they have been doing so all season or we wouldnt be where we are now, but......they have got to make sure the game is comfortably in our favour because we cant be letting these last minute cock ups ruin 3 points for us. The lads have played really well and they look and act like they are all focused on keeping us up at the top, but we need more goals per game...i know you know what i mean here.StuartRDFC wrote:2 points loss. ;)

I think we may have missed a certain defender these past 2 games, thats just my opinion, but cant help thinking we may have won at least one of these games with him there. Saying that though we have a good team this season and its been a really exciting ride so far.

Anyone know if 'that certain defender' is likely to be fit to start on Saturday?
I bloody hope so!!

Yeh, anyone know? I dont have "favourites" in any team, as such, but i liked what the commentators were saying last night, how when hes playing the team feels more confident at the back along with the others, and we are known to have one of the best, if not the best defence in this league. Why was he left out anyway?Harry wrote:Anyone know if 'that certain defender' is likely to be fit to start on Saturday?

He was only 50/50 so not worth risking with the games coming thick and fast.
