The Annual Conference AGM Cup Final

Post by Biggles »

For those that do have an outside interest of football other than AFCRD, its up and running the Annual Conference AGM Cup.

This year it seems the final is between Hereford and Chester, it is reported that Hereford have until the AGM to prove they have the finance in place to start the next season or be kicked out of the Conference and Chester will be reprieved.

It looks like Hereford's days are numbered after their creditors refused to accept a CVA, and the owner sold his shares to a "distressed debt" company after failing the "fit and proper" test. The fans seem split between trying to buy out the shareholders to support the existing club versus folding and starting again.

Salisbury City are in a similar predicament, and their potential new owners seem to be trying to upset everyone from the FA to the Non-League Paper - http://salisburycity-fc.co.uk/.

It looks like the FA might have two phoenix clubs on their hands next season.

I real feel for the Salisbury supporters, but the statements on their website are hilarious! Reminiscent of Ladick in his heyday, publically criticising anyone and everyone.
