Do you think the council will be build us a shiny new ground as part of the development.

Blokes go to the football their wives and girlfriends can go shopping!

Excuse the stereotyping it could of course work the other way round of course.

Although it would be nice to own our own ground, it seems that any club who does have such an asset is vulnerable to a property developer weaseling their way into the club in order to take advantage - as Hereford are the latest to find out - so playing in a council owned facility might be an ideal solution for a community facing club.

Some might say that our constitution would prevent outsiders getting a position of power, but events at Exeter City have demonstrated this isn't quite so certain - http://twohundredpercent.net/?p=25772

I trust everyone has noticed that Rushden Lakes are featured on the OWS as one of the club's sponsors.

In the box marked 'AFC R&D Sponsors'. It will appear at the bottom on the left. You need to be patient.
