"Kirk acknowledged that the travel involved in playing in a higher league is a big consideration, both in terms of cost and players’ time commitment.
He says that is something the Tigers will address at a later date."
Seems from this that Holbeach will throw everything at promotion and the logistical/financial problems of operating at Step 4 will be dealt with once they're up. They'll be very dangerous in 14/15. Now I wish the UCL Prem had play-offs!

Address at a later date, love that. Presume they will use a different scale map to make places in Step 4 Northern Div appear closer to the Flatlands. Last season when we visited them they did display the UCL Prem trophy on the bar with great pride & some of their webbed footed turnip munching Fans appeared to think the Fenland mersonaries who had delivered it were still part of the Club. They appear to want it back, here we go again, spend a load of money, don't apply or apply then when a push comes to a shove decline promotion, players all move on, manager quits citing lack of ambition. Welcome back to the UCL & the Fenland circus.paulg wrote:"Kirk acknowledged that the travel involved in playing in a higher league is a big consideration, both in terms of cost and players’ time commitment.

Step 3 then for Stevenson. A terrific player and as we know as well as anyone far too good for step 6 where he's spent the last 3 years. Will Oadby have 11 players left?

Not surprised, I wondered when Ricky Marheinke would start his 'raiding' exercise after getting Huntingdon's assistant manager to join him a couple of weeks back.BartonRaz wrote:3 Huntingdon players have moved to St Ives, including Ben Seymour-Shove

Re: Oadby Town
Are these the same three that Huntingdon were shouting about keeping a couple of weeks ago?
I thought Seymour-Shove was top class for them next season
