There's no way last night officiating was of the highest level, no disrespect to Uzbekistan but what level of football is their top league? Couldn't have got a more neutral guy but level of ability, piss poor!SouthRushdenJFC wrote: To be fair the officiating has been worse than we see in the UCL, which is just plain rubbish

Re: WORLD CUP
FIFA try to be "inclusive" and fair to all so use refs from any country that plays football. Expect the final to be officiated by the Dalai Lama, representing Tibet, with his linespersons being an Innuit from the Arctic Circle and a citizen of the Falkland......unless of course Argentina are in the final, in which case it will be Maradonna.
Re: WORLD CUP
Agreed, its been shocking, FIFA brought in 4 lenient referees for the tournament and I'm convinced they told the others to be very lenient on the cards as well (how teams Honduras got away with only 1 red card I have no idea!) and not a single card for diving all tournament either, which considering how much diving, play-acting and simulation we've seen over the last 3 weeks is farcical. FIFA's slogan is supposed to be 'My Game is Fair Play', but I've seen little evidence of them upholding that slogan in this WC.SouthRushdenJFC wrote:There have been some great goalkeeping performances.
The Brazil Columbia game wasn't that bad.

Re: WORLD CUP
Never thought I would be willing Germany to win.
Sorry for Neymar but Brazil are paying the price for kicking James of Colombia out of the Cup, and they have the worst disciplinary record of all teams., and all the referees on their side. Plus of course their performances do not justify being in the semi's.

Hopefully I won't sing "it's just like watching Brazil" whilst watching diamonds this season.

Re: WORLD CUP
what odds will Ray Winstone give on a Brazil win!!!
Even England could be beating this lot. Come to think of it even Diamonds would be in with a chance!!!

How very prescient of you!
What a boring match, compared with the previous semi-final, as well.
I was rooting for Argentina, because Messi deserves a World Cup medal... and it also helps with a quiz question I'm trying to devise!
In the Final? Vorwaerts, Deutschland!
