Sat 23 Aug PNS away
Sat 30 Aug Huntingdon home.......hopefully this game will be postponed.
Tue 2 Sep AFC Kempston home
Sat 6 Sep Harrowby away
Sat 13 Sep Deeping home...........hopefully that will be postponed as well!!
Obviously we want to win our FA Cup games but that does mean postponing two decent UCL matches.
At this time of the season with FA Cup and Vase fixtures it must be a nightmare for the fixtures secretary

Red letter day Sat Oct 25th - Holbeach at the D&D (providing no cup game gets scheduled for that date). We then travel to theirs just a month later for the return. Looks like we might get many of our '6 pointers' done by Xmas
Re: Further fixtures announced
The visit to Holbeach seems to have been arranged for the date we are due to play our first game in the FA Vase, unless the fixture compiler knows different.paulg wrote:Red letter day Sat Oct 25th - Holbeach at the D&D (providing no cup game gets scheduled for that date). Cheers Formic, good spot. TBH a re-arrangement of Holbeach (a) might work to our advantage - would be nice to space those two games out a bit, and I imagine a trip up there in April would attract a big crowd.Formic wrote: The visit to Holbeach seems to have been arranged for the date we are due to play our first game in the FA Vase, unless the fixture compiler knows different.

I notice it's Wellingborough again on Boxing Day - this time we have home advantage...

Re: Further fixtures announced
Does seem rather strange to have 6 successive home games but I am sure the fixtures secretary has good reasons, maybe somebody can enlighten us.
If we have a cup run like last season then at least two of those games will be postponed.
I have not looked into Welly fixtures too much but see they are away on 7/10 in Vase, but it is not only a case of D & D being available, there are 19 other teams to consider.

Re: Further fixtures announced
It does seem strange that the UCL don't make any effort to use the usual home, away etc. alternate fixture schedule that most leagues use. However, the run of home matches that we have in the Autumn period does mean we can expect bigger attendances than would be the case in February when cold weather often suppresses attendances.
