Sounds like a great game, shame I was put off by the 'XI', looks like it was a pretty strong squad in the end.

Nobody has yet commented on Mark Hewitt. What is he like?

Mark played at centre back alongside Parky. I'd seen him play for Long Buckby in the past and he produced a similar solid performance last night. There will be real competition at centre back, but given the risk of injuries (as we've already seen with Jamal), and the odd suspension I think that's a good thing. It was also clear last night that the younger players in the side are going to be no pushover, with both EL-J and Joe Henderson prepared to give as good as they got in the sort of tussles you don't always see in a friendly game.
