Entry into Oakley is of course by passport, invitation or signing in at the border, so I'll meet you at the West gate to avoid the embarrassment of entry refusal. Worth a visit, for a small village, nice club house, decent very well priced drink & they even had someone installing new dugouts less than an hour ago.

Proper metal framed Perspex panelled bolted down onto a concrete base dugouts. No expense spared here. It's like preparing for a Royal visit here tonight.

I fancy going along.....will I be roped into doing a match report again! !
Could go together Sussex Diamond.....might be easier getting through passport control in pairs.
6.45 kick off I think?
Any over age players getting a run out?

I'm away at the moment which is a shame, would have been nice to have walked to a match

A young AFC R&D U21 side lost 2-1 this evening. They were 2-0 down at the break, but the Diamonds keeper saved a penalty to keep them in the game before they got a goal back before the fading light brought the game to a conclusion.

YOUNG! 3 of them were given a glass of warm milk at
half time, told to put their pyjamas & go straight to bed. Not a bad performance at all, could have been more than 2 but both teams did try to play football all evening. Our very young side did get bullied a bit but were never going to win any physical battle.
Footnote to our keeper. Don't call the Ref a ..... and start an argument following a 100% pen especially if said Ref has our Senior team in a few weeks.

The big question is did the dug outs survive?
