No debate needed, just someone needs to control their language, it's not the first time but let's hope it's the last. SS

Don't know what happened or what was said after the game, not really bothered about language on here but got to say although dowlo didn't put it in the best of terms, I have to find myself agreeing with him. Many others probably do aswell.

Bottom line is ling time and time again is under performing and this has been going on for last few months now, how many more times can people make excuses for him. So what he was part of the long buckby title winning side, he isn't putting in a shift where others sitting on the bench would. I think ling needs to look at the likes of Brad, who week in week out puts in 110%. At the end of the day matty gave us a get out of jail card, which without him on the field really never looked like getting. I just hope that peaksy on Tuesday goes with gearing and elliot lamb, who provides more imo!!

My match report is now up on main website.

Not at our best but created enough to deserve second chancd next week.

As for Ling I think he's done a good job in the role he's played. I don't see lack of effort or skill. Not as physical as others as doesn't surge around the place "looking" busy but gives and goes and trys to link play well. But thats my opinion....not fact.

Get frustrated, have your view, express it strongly if you like (not abusively though) thats what this forum is for, but don't claim it as fact and don't assume everyone thinks the same. It would be boring if we did.

To be fair, if you spoke to ANY of the players involved yesterday they will tell you that they played well below the standards expected by the club and themselves

Indeed, they know it and so does the manager. However, subjecting individual players to abuse won't help anything. Our job is to support the team...all of them.

I'd agree with that and it didn't work for the team. Ling looked like a fish out of water playing there and this is a management decision not his so it's not fair to criticise too harshly. we should be looking to return Merrill to the team and Henders to midfield if Confue's out in future. We got away with it so let's regroup and go again cos this is winnable.

Excellent photo's Steph.

There's a challenge laid down now to come up with a song for Jack with a link to his crown surfing tendencies!!

Perhaps it might need to be a Jedward song appropriate to Jack and Matty's hairstyles?

I will support any player that shows commitment to the cause and gives 100% each game. Even when they are not playing that well. Which was the case yesterday as a lot had poor games by their standards. However when I see a player not trying, not tracking back, not going in for 50/50 balls on the edge of the area they will not get my backing and will instead get the rocket they deserve.

When you look back at a player like Wizz who played in that position he would track back tackle and give 100% each week. Ling looks clueless and to add to that week in week out appears half the time not to be trying. Yesterday for me was the final straw, granted my language over steps the mark sometimes but that bloke is picking up all of the supporters hard earned money and if you're happy to clap him off at the end having watched him put in a half ars*d effort then more fool you.

As for the game. Gearing to the rescue again, if we start him on Tuesday and the players find an extra gear we should beat what was a very average Bedford side and we can all look forward to a day out in London in the next round. Scotsman anyone?
