Not at all relevant to this thread but there were some bloody awful attendances locally last night. A woeful crowd of 199 watched St Neots lose to Slough, that must be their lowest crowd since their UCL days.

41 watched Eynesbury 1-4 Wisbech, and 38 saw Cogenhoe 2-2 Long Buckby.
They say we've lost our money we're not famous anymore.....

Too many counter attractions on Tuesday evenings with live football on the telly, people working late and horrendous travelling times. It took Great Yarmouth 4 hours to get to Hullbridge last evening delaying the kick off by 25 minutes!

Playing midweek in December and January really is a non starter, especially at non league level.
Added to the so-called "Champions" league being shown on terrestrial tv.

When we were set to play Desborough on Jan 6th I raised the point of how necessary was that, and was proved right when the game was cancelled.

Agreed. Not necessary to play fixtures in midweek December to February. How many of us would travel to Boston, Holbeach, Harrowby, Sleaford or Wisbech on a Tuesday evening? Went to Yaxley on a very cold night last season and there was a poor crowd.

I certainly wouldn't go to Boston for a night game unless they committed to turning on their floodlights when they are needed - unlike Saturday.

I notice Kempston still have trouble with their lights, and Deeping have also moved a game forward on Saturday.

The Desborough game was replaced with a midweek game a week later, so your advice fell on deaf ears. The Champions league is on a break until mid-February now - but it will be FA Cup replays that attract the armchair fan before that.

Hope the Deeping early start is not floodlight related, or Fat Boy Winny will look a right prat after all the s*it he has been throwing and Kempston, Oh well it won`t be the first time and sure not the last either. He appears to not be on our case as much as the past 2 seasons, though his prediction of us being a top 6 side this year may well turn out to be correct.
