Good result today.

Although I'm concerned about Holbeach's games in hand, their Fa Vase game has gone to extra time 3-3. That'll hopefully add to a tiring slog of games between now and the end of season for them, and the Vase must be taking up a lot of their focus.

I'd still rather have points on the board than games in hand though.

Top quality performance from start to finish from every single one of the lads today IMO.

Don't think one of them had a bad game. Confue & Joseph didn't stop running, I thought Confue deserved a goal, but it wasn't to be.

Good choice for ELJ as Man Of The Match, but any of the other 10 would have deserved it, to be honest.

I see Holbeach won 3-4 aet in the end - shame, a replay would have been good for us!!

Wasn't there today but listened in on the radio - sounded very convincing !! Well done all, and the guys on Radio Diamonds !!

I didn't think we really got going until we scored. Although we were having more of the possession the visitors had earned quite a few corners whereas our moves tended to fizzle out just outside the area due to a poor pass or a blocked / wayward shot.

Scott's two goals were both well taken after good moves and excellent crosses, and we looked comfortable throughout the second half.

It is going to be some time before Holbeach play their games in hand

With them winning in Vase today they now have 7 games to play until end of Feb (we have 8) which could even be 6 if they win in next round.

If they reach semi finals then they will have 13 UCL games and two Vase matches to play in March and April.....and that's not taking into consideration the weather or replays!!!
