Totally disagree with ELJ. Yes, he was below par today but the reason why he starts is simple, he is better than gearing and has played well the last couple of games.

mm .... so Dunkley scoring within minutes of coming on last week was an example of this?Rushdenjim wrote:Isn't him every game? :roll:Rushdentom wrote: Peaksy was very poor today with the timing and selection of his subs.

After Holcheat's shenanigans today I think our club needs to have a serious look at out league schedule and say bugger the UCL and re-arrange a few of the March fixtures to give our players the best chance of winning the league and give Holcheats a real run for the money.

Blows hot and cold. Awful at Oadby as well as Thurnby. Something about away games at the mo.fentiger79 wrote:Totally disagree with ELJ. Yes, he was below par today but the reason why he starts is simple, he is better than gearing and has played well the last couple of games.

I agree this was a point gained today. I don't think anybody could really have expected us to win at Holbeach. A month ago we would have been delighted with that result.
Not a good first half but a completely different second half and even then we did not play to our full potential.
I was disappointed we allowed Holbeach to drag us into petty arguments. I warned about this earlier in the week. They targeted ELJ from the first minute, which sadly did affect him, and as usual it was the sinned against that got the red card.
The pressure is definitely now on Holbeach, they missed their big chance, with so many games to play and they have some tough fixtures remaining, (eg away to Wisbech, Thurnby, Huntingdon) and I certainly expect them to drop some points.
Our problem is can we get back on song and string together a winning run to heap further pressure on them.?
Final point. Some of our fans comments today were disgraceful certainly those aimed at King and ELJ
Sam Browns reaction to one of those tirades said it all!

It would be a real boring world if everyone thought the same eh? :lol:AndyKirkup wrote:Well said! Some people need to take a long, hard look at themselves.sussexdiamond wrote:Final point. Some of our fans comments today were disgraceful certainly those aimed at King and ELJ
im not a fan of ELJ, he may well play good at home, simple fact is yesterday knowing what was at stake he under performed big time. Everyone was constantly asking when/where dunks was coming back, and we all know that his heading can be on form...providing he gets the service and ELJs crossing ain't up to scratch..
Play ELJ at home, matty away

It's just a shame when they are under pressure the midfield go awol and dolman is having to play hoof ball which surely ain't the way. Going down the wings would be a far better approach and more effective..
