Thanks Nick, I didn't really understand the reasoning in the previous post.

If that figure is accurate it should have featured prominently in our announcement IMO. It's far more enticing than 'a percentage' which I'd assumed would be something much smaller than 65%.

I'd presume (if that % is accurate, I've no idea if it is) that various clubs didn't want the % made public as this is a scheme that could be sold/promoted to non football people who might be put off if they think only 35% is going into the prize pot.

It's a bit of fun and if it helps the club at the same time it's worth the small outlay a week.

That was just based on Shrewsbury's site http://www.shrewsburytown.com/commercial/goldbond/ and to be fair, after re reading it, it does say up to 65p in a pound. So it will probably rely on how many tickets the club sells overall to how much of a percentage cut the club gets at the end of the week.

The amount we currently get back is 70%

This will rise to 80% when we get enough people signed up, an ammount that is acheiveable.

I hope this is game changer for some - now we need to pull together and work hard on getting people signed up.
