[ Sat 28th Feb ] v Huntingdon Town, KO 3pm UCLP AWAY
Re: [ Sat 28th Feb ] v Huntingdon Town, KO 3pm UCLP AWAY
Yes Internet connection over there was terrible.
Well when our slack defending allowed Huntingdon to set up the sweet strike for the opening goal in the first few seconds I was fearing the worst, but we bounced back brilliantly and, considering chances were at a premium in the first half, Declan's equaliser was a really important goal for us.
2nd half was glorious entertainment - Sam's wonder strike nearly as good as his iconic goal v Eynesbury

No they didn't it's was just us & Holbeach, so in the event we finish 2nd behind Wisbech we will probably go up, not that that's relevant as we will finish top.oliv272 wrote:Did Wisbech apply for promotion this season? I can't remember if it was just and Holbeach or not.

The build up for the Desborough game struggled to even make a single page. People seem to have plenty to say about other team's issues at the moment - perhaps its a sign we are doing OK.rudolph_hucker wrote:supersub wrote:You're a star Sid, thanks. 7 games undefeated, 27 goals for, 3 against - I'm quite happy!! Nowt to be negative about is there?
The thing about today that pleased me the most was how we responded to going a goal behind- we reorganised and took the game to them! Second half - we were a different class!
Huntingdon's new management team rejigged the side from Wednesday evening, players in different positions and a few different faces, but no match for us today!

The Wisbech game is taking on even greater significance as they continue to impress, today was their 10th straight win.
Between now and 21st we play Eynesbury and Huntingdon and they play Yaxley (a) N Pagnell (h) Oadby (h) and PNS (away). I reckon they have two easy home wins and two tricky away matches.
Of course we both have a KO Cup match to play on the 10th which could result in a semi final clash!!

I didn't recognise a single player in the Huntingdon team today. I wondered where Luke Kennedy was and discovered it was the first of a three match ban for him along with another Croms player.
Great response from the lads after a sloppy start. The only disappointment is the inability of Tommy Berwick to find the net. He works very hard however and with a tad more composure I'm sure he'll score a lot of goals for us. He's probably trying too hard when faced with a goal scoring opportunity.

Today was the first game I've been able to attend since the 3-0 win against Harborough.
Disappointed that we conceded first but the lads did fantastically to turn the game around. Huntingdon were poor no doubt about it, they looked a shadow of their former selves. Thought we got slightly lucky with the penalty though.
Also, Didn't realise the Mitchell brothers were in charge of them!!
Again, when Elliot came on he was slagged off by someone behind the dugout, was glad that Paul Lamb stuck up for him, although I think he had to bite his tongue!!!

I know we are setting very high standards lately but how could anyone criticize ELJ today! When he came on he looked lively and was causing the defenders a real headache as he did so often earlier in the season. In the time he was on the pitch I can only recall one error, if it can be called that.
If we are going to criticize anyone, Dolman was so disappointing in front of goal today. How much longer can we expect the rest of the team to "carry" him?
Great to see Sam score today. I've been telling him for weeks he was going to score and what a cracker it was.
Did anyone notice Gearing beating his chest/ the club badge after he scored. Sign that he feels he is well and truly back in the fold.
