I read part of that list and think OD's account has been hacked by Creasy Dick !!

Some of those assessments are so way off the mark it's laughable!

Peaksy will do his own thing, he's his own man as he's proved this season. I think he'll give the guys who got us to Step 4 the chance to shine there, and that's the right thing to do. If they don't cut it, I've got faith in him that he'll be as ruthless as he needs to be and make the necessary changes.

I think they're fair judgments. The squad has been excellent, but it clearly needs improvement for next year. Remember we only won the league because Holbeach gave up the fight after the Vase. They had it well and truly in the bag otherwise. Lighten up. :)

Based on how many games you actually watched this season?

Your opinion of course , but you can see why people have come to slate some of you reasoning's for the likes of Rogers and Lorraine. They've come in and been superb.
You also saying we only won the league because Holbeach gave up? lol

I know we don't have one any more, but can the Mods please move this thread to the jokes section!? ;)

8 games live, every highlights reel, reading every post on this forum. Maybe not enough for you, but I can't make 450 mile round trips every week.

I can understand why you all want to stick with same squad, and that's fair enough. I was only looking for some debate about players - like we did in the good old RDFC days. We'd be on here debating away about players and tactics till the cows came home, and I miss it! Promotion is the most exciting time to have such discussions as well. But, hey ho. I'm aware any comments can come across the wrong way. I'm pro-peaks, pro the current squad, just keen to see us do what we should and storm the league next year.

Can see why some of you disagree about Lorraine, but if we buy two new strikers, and have Dunkley and Joseph on the bench already, something has to give.

The Ashton verdict is in the context of wanting to bring in Darren Purse to the starting XI.

When we went up to the league under Talbot he stayed loyal to the players that got us there and when they were found wanting he made changes - that was the right thing to do! After seeing us against Step 4 sides already it's not the massive leap in quality some might think. This squad will be competitive as it is.

I'd go as far as saying we'd finish top 10 and I'd be happy with that. Maybe one or two additions (or WHEN Tommy starts scoring again ;) ) and we'd be a top 5 side - and that would mean playoffs! :)

We need cover at right back with a proper right back, that's probably all I'd do at present - but that's me!
