I doubt it would affect us although I suppose it could potentially mean a change in our opponents, Maybe Aylesbury United sent into the southwest with the central getting an Isthmian League side :?:
If a northern side drop down before the AGM, that would be bad news.

I thought it would of been it.

Looks as though its not it. I would have thought Godalming would move to the South West league, that would make more sense, and looks like we'll get Ware instead.

Travelling would be awful for Godalming in the southwest. Aylesbury United are playing at Thame next year and Oxfordshire sides usually go into that division. I suppose Marlow would also be a possibility.

Aylesbury United and Marlow have a load of clubs around them, a load of derbies so why reck that. fA don't usually like to do that. Godalming shouldn't be in are league. Fleet are close to them and are in the South West league, it would give Godalming a local derby match, and would make more sense to put them in the South West.

I know what you mean, but I'm sure Godalming wouldn't find a game with Fleet much consolation. Their longest trip to us would seem quite local, compared with Tiverton! The Southwest Division is a horrible prospect for anyone threatened with being moved to it. Shame the FA can't bung Clevedon a few quid for some new bulbs

Hi Sid I get quite interested in these things. :D

Now its stating that its Marlow going, to me Marlow going doesn't make much sense at all to me, I've worked it out that Marlow is closer to 11 Southern Central League teams than the closest (South West League team (being Didcot) Marlow losing 11 closer teams, pos/derbies matches which is crazy and stupid.

Godalming moving would give them a derby match (I know its only Fleet) but a derby match is a derby match, also a few teams could use the M3, to Godalming.

I suppose you could say the same thing for Fleet. (Tiverton)

To me it makes much more sense for Godalming to go into the South West league, (they'll gaining a derby match) and no other teams are losing out.

Hope that makes sense. :D

It looks like its a case of three in / three out according to the Fleet Town twitter (nothing on the Official Southern League site yet).

Fleet, Petersfield and Ware (from Ryman) are moving into SL1C, with Burnham, Marlow and Flackwell Heath going into the South & West Division. That will increase the travelling for us I'd guess.

That's more work to update the Club Directory on the AFCRD OWS once its confirmed by the league too.

Petersfield looks to be in an area of the country I haven't really visited before, so would look forward to that.

At 168.3 miles from my house, it might also be the closest AFC has ever played to me. Good news

If that is the Petersfield in Hampshire then what on earth is all that about? I'd fully expect them to appeal it. They're really out on a limb! Surely the logical thing to do would be to put them in the Ryman South and move Molesey into Southern Central, or leave them in Southern S&W and leave Burnham in Southern Central?
They say we've lost our money we're not famous anymore.....

Its not too far from Godalming or Fleet - see the map on this page - http://www.afcdiamonds.com/sl1c-club-directory-and-map - and may turn out to be the lesser of two evils for them if the alternative was trips to Banbury, Taunton, Evesham, Tiverton etc in the SL1SW.
