Every single one of the players..
Deserves to go up after that. They were all brilliant, never stopped closing down, never stopped trying to invent, unafraid to put in the tackle.
Tommo was dead on his feat when he went off, Macca's strip was no longer yellow from the amount of times he slid in when needed. Porter did the dirty work in the middle giving them nothing. Curtis and Jamie were in complete control at the back and retained perfect composure. Robbo was industrious down the left with Tommo and then Faz. Huke came in and did a good job at RB, he looked very good with the ball at his feet. Byrne was everywhere he needed to be and caused no end of problems going forward.
Up front Faz was outstanding, scoring one and never stopping running. They had no idea what to do with him. Az put in an equally hard shift and set up the second brilliantly Tommo took his goal exceptionally when the Tommo of old would have gone down under Wrack's late challenge and when he went off J-lo came on and immediately hit the bar and ran his a*se off for the team. Wolly only came on for a short time but must run as far in that time as Roper did in the entire match.
Thank you guys, thanks JEMS so much for a journey that was well worth it. I have hardly ever felt prouder of RDFC.

The Players deserved the 3-0 win, completely outplayed the scum on their own ground.

Agree with all that. In addition, I enjoyed watching Az and Dale jumping up and down when they come over to our end after the game.
Ladies and gentlemen, Elvis has left the building.

Agreed 100%. Some of my mates were suggesting that the reason Az was quite so keen to beat the scum, (apparently his celebration was quite full on but i didn't see, as so was mine ;) ) was that he was racially abused last year whilst playing for Mansfield? Can anyone remember/confirm this?!

I'd not heard the rasicsm allegations before (although they do have previous from last season), but after the second goal Az did run down the side of the pitch to our right with his finger to his lips. :lol:jimbobjaw wrote:Turveyman wrote:Agree with all that. Of course agree 100%, it was an outstanding effort by everyone and they really should have scored more, by far the best performance and I've seen at an away game before and it was another classic derby(for us that is ;) )
So completely worth driving 2 hours back from center parcs and getting soaked, superb night
