Re: Help wanted for stadium maintenance...
I doubt if you'd be allowed to on H&S grounds............you know what the world is like these days Lee? I've asked Glenis about the possibility of a cherrypicker, there must be someone we can get one from for free? Anyone got any ideas?

R_H is the person to ask if you want something off the back of a lorry. :lol:PigmanRDFC wrote:I doubt if you'd be allowed to on H&S grounds............you know what the world is like these days Lee? Its a joke all this H&S malarkey. I used to be a scaffolder where I'd work three times as high as the Airwair wearing just trainers and shorts. Nowadays I'd need a hi-viz just to price a job up.
You're knocked out with who I am,
Look at you now, you're all in my hands.

I agree mate, but the club would probably worry about public liability etc etc etc - not their fault eh?

The light grey coloured smooth plastic faced cladding looks very nice and crisp when it's new but really needs a good cleaning every summer. The areas that suffer are all those that face north which attract the mould. The cladding facing Diamond Way is particularly dirty but it's far easier to access than the South Stand fascia board.
Back in the Griggs days I know it was cleaned every summer using a cherrypicker ;) and I remember seeing the chief security steward, Gerry, doing it.
We really need to be at our best for next season in the higher division.
I can see why the MK Dongs chose a dark colour for their stadium external cladding now.

Actually you might have hit on something there. The Irthlingborough fire engine crew regularly does exercises on Tuesday evenings. Perhaps we could ask them to put out a mock fire on the side of the North Stand?PigmanRDFC wrote:A fire engine would be useful
