You are entitled to your opinion, of course, but to say that it would be unfair not to have video highlights suggests perhaps we have got used to having an outstanding general media service/package, and all for free.

Not only that as already mentioned, it gives the club exposure and the ability for fans to relive great moments. Aaron Kings screamer v Oadby, The Spencer Celebrations, Gilly's over head kick, Alfie's scoring the clubs 1st ever senior goal, Paul Stanyer's howlers in the Dale Memorial cup game, the FA Cup runs and THAT Barwell equaliser. All captured on video to relive over and over again! Without AFCR&D TV they'd all be consigned to people's memory only, and some people may have never got to have seen them. With a list like that I'm sure people wouldn't mind paying a small fee for it to continue (if that's what is needed to happen). I and many others I'm sure would be gutted if AFCR&D was to stop completely.

Agree with those comments Dowlo.

My comments on the Members Forum about this related mainly to the exposure aspect and the possibility for sponsorship. I think it's vital that AFCRDTV stays so would personally be happy to pay a subscription fee if some benefits came from doing so. However, looking at it from a cost perspective, maybe we should consider just using AFCRDTV for away games and high profile/important home games. It might increase home attendances.

The point is that isn't an option. It just takes up too much resource.

This person has asked for are thoughts/opinions over it, and I've given a opinion over it, just like other people, to me charging people (basic service, as in goals) is harsh/not fair on fans who can't make games. But like ParcelFace says Charging for extras is good, like interviews. And will bring in extra money for the club, also people watching the goals (might very well) what more of a service, so (ie more) will be willing to pay.

If you want to back up your opinion I am sure it will be welcomed if you are prepared to get along to every game, spend the time filming the game, spend the time after the game editing it down to a highlights package, then spend the time uploading it to youtube and the OWS - if you can do all of that then your opinion that it should remain as it is will be achievable.

Why do you be like that for, I stated about charging for it, extras, (interviews etc etc) making extra income/money for the club. So why say it like that.

ps I have volunteered for things before, and when I choice to volunteer for things, (that I love) I don't suspect to get a penny for it.

I think there is a misunderstanding here somewhere. In order for it to stay as it is (i.e excellent coverage provided for free), it needs someone to do all of the necessary work as I've described in the same way as it has been done for the past four seasons. It appears there is nobody willing / able to do this, so options are being considered which will mean the same services as are currently provided might need to be chargeable.

I'm sure we'd all like to vote for "no change" - but that isn't an option.

Could we approach any of the local schools or university's and see if any group would like to do it as part of their media course?

Maybe I didn't word it correct fully so, I never once said about not charging for it, I just said about changing for extras, (interviews etc etc) I hope this clears things up.

I'd be more then happy to pay for the service, either via a monthly fee or an increased yearly membership fee. I can't get to many games due to the distance and work so its a vital service for fans from afar. I also think its an important service for the club to help attract new fans, sponsors and the like.

I agree - it's an important part of our marketing and I'd be prepared to pay to keep it going - working it into an increased annual membership fee, as mentioned above, is a good idea.
