Apparently Leighton have been told that only one team will be relegated this season. I also understand that at least one of the top 5 can't afford to go up. Interesting!

As I understand it one club on our division has expressed an interest to resign at the end of the season. Would not surprise me if it's Arlesey with all their problems. Not heard anything about the top 5?

Egham or Kings Langley, take your pick.

I would have guessed Egham, don't know why? Maybe that's why there've started to lose games, (at a result of not being able to afford going up)

I've heard Daventry might resign from the ESND1S league.

Seems to be a couple of clubs in trouble late on in the season.

Daventry's Bank holiday derby at Rugby tomorrow has been called off. Rugby Town's initial tweet suggested this was because Daventry couldn't field a team.

Their manager has also quit, along with the backroom staff.

I'd be one delighted diamond to see Confue back here. Such a shame for Daventry though, I hope they come through this.

I doubt very much that Leighton have been told that by anyone who knows what they're talking about.
Reprieves are given across the six step four divisions on a points per game basis, it is very unlikely that there will be six resignations across the country this year. Aylesbury United are currently third in line for a reprieve, but given recent results ( Daventry likely to finish in the bottom two anyway, Farnborough possibly only getting a one step demotion as a result of escaping the relegation zone, Bishop Auckland being promoted from the Northern League), it is even an outside possibility that there will be no reprieves at all :good:

It seems that Daventry have sent a letter of resignation into the league as well. All this comes on the back of the Chairman failing to attend a meeting a St.George's Park to discuss the financial situation there after they missed deadlines to submit accounts.

It's now confirmed that Daventry have resigned from Step 4 and want to be at Step 6 next season - http://www.evostikleague.co.uk/league-statement-30067
