League allocations for next year.

Looks like we're heading the Northern League Division One South as expected.

Re: League allocations for next year.
Northwich Victoria who finished 3rd in the NPL North this year moving into the league as well will make things extra competitive at the top, 3 teams in the league made their respective playoff finals this season, Shaw Lane Aquaforce being the other one, it's going to be more difficult than if we were still in the SL Central I imagine.
I'm looking forward to some plenty of new unfamiliar clubs (one of which being the oldest in the world of course) to play and grounds to visit though, having a quick look at some of the grounds in that division, I'd say it looks like they're generally a better standard than in the SL Central, like both Leek and Rugby's grounds seem to have some kind of terracing/cover on all 4 sides and Stamford's new ground seems to have fairly decent terraces behind each goal, so that's an improvement at least.

Re: League allocations for next year.
There's a few old opponents from rdfc old days, Northwich, leek, Witton albion. Shows that we're on our way back. Will be a tough division but I'm pretty sure not many teams will fancy a trip to the dog and duck!
Re: League allocations for next year.
Interesting to see our league is the only one without any promoted teams in it - 3 transferred across and 2 relegated into it, the rest staying. So no Kings Langley type story of a club on the up, full of momentum and assembling a team built for successive promotions.
Hopefully we can battle in and around the play-off places.

I think the map I posted on another thread is still appropriate https://goo.gl/maps/ZoqQ5iqab5R2

They'll drop down as quickly as they've come up at some point.diamondsteve wrote:Kings Langley a club on the up???paulg wrote:Interesting to see our league is the only one without any promoted teams in it - 3 transferred across and 2 relegated into it, the rest staying. Sorry, meant as in being a promoted club into the Southern Central this time last year, and there being no equivalent this time. Yes seems their run of successive promotions will come to an end next season.diamondsteve wrote:Kings Langley a club on the up???paulg wrote:Interesting to see our league is the only one without any promoted teams in it - 3 transferred across and 2 relegated into it, the rest staying. Frustrating that my friends and I will not be able to make any away games next year.
Hey ho, we look forward to the Conference South in a few years.

Re: League allocations for next year.
A quick look shows we'll be the second southernmost team to play in the Northern League since they went to a North and South, only behind Daventry.
More Southern teams are getting into this level in non-league the past few years it seems
