Yeah, Market Drayton is similar to Leek, probably ones for the supporters coach they are!ParcelFace wrote:Cheers!HaydenP wrote:As I live in Stoke, Newcastle is doable by train, Northampton to Stoke can be cheap and the ground is a short 10 minute taxi from the station. You will find taxis are generally cheaper up here. Kidsgrove also very doable on the train, a short walk from the station. It's on the London - Crewe line.ParcelFace wrote:Just figuring out train routes as hopefully I'll be in Nottingham next year! The grounds that seem to be bit of a trek from the station are Loughborough Dynamo, Newcastle Town, Lincoln United and Northwich Victoria. Gave up on finding route to Gresley, Market Drayton, Leek and Stocksbridge Park Steels. £5.55 return to Belper with the station being a 6 minute walk away from the ground sounds good though!
As for Leek, that's in the middle of nowhere, but as someone has already mentioned, it's a very nice ground.
It's a competitive league but i'm sure we'll be capable of competing well.![]()
Got no idea about Market Drayton in particular, seems to be near absolutely nothing. Stocksbridge PS also looks pretty difficult, a fair distance from anywhere with a train station.
League allocations for next year.

If Google Maps is anything to go by the walk from the road to the ground is Long Buckby=esque at Market Drayton

Re: League allocations for next year.
There is a suggestion that Cinderford Town will be declining promotion from the SLD1S&W today which will throw the allocations out of the window.
They could reprieve Bedworth in the SLP and move Evesham into NL1S with us. Last year they made a lot of changes when Flackwell Heath declined promotion, I think there ended up being 3 or 4 changes to the previously announced SL1C lineup.

It should really be Stamford reprieved, better points per game, but you can never be certain with the FA.
Either way presumably Corby back in the Southern League.

That's the current forecast but with Histon now joining us in the NPL (South).Sid wrote: It should really be Stamford reprieved, better points per game, but you can never be certain with the FA.

Re: League allocations for next year.
Cinderford have confirmed in the last hour on twitter that they've written to the SL to decline promotion, so that could make things complicated!!

Who will benefit from a reprieve? Bedworth (SLP) or Stamford (NLP)?
Any chance of us being moved back to SL1C?

Surely Histon would be the most southerly team to have ever played in the northern league?bozzer wrote:Histon moving into our league
