Re: Gill Wignall
A list was given to matt in the shop to put on the OWS ,there was a total of thirty prizes in total ,all winners were phoned and notified.I will get the list and put it on this site for you to see .
Re: Gill Wignall
There's a list of winning tickets numbers on the OWS if that helps - http://www.thediamondsfc.com/page/Suppo ... 72,00.html

You can download a copy of the Trust Rules from the OWS - http://www.thediamondsfc.com/staticFile ... 383,00.pdfTwo of Diamonds wrote:Let me expand on my point.
I re-joined the Trust this year, primarily to get around the well discussed increase in prices. I sent in me and my mates' application forms and all we received back was a membership card. Surely I should also have received a set of rules and an introduction to the Trust board at the very least with it? A sort of a welcome pack. This is the kind of info that might be useful to put on the net in a blog (or the official site?), and at least I can download my own therefore not costing the Trust anything. I'm not knocking what people do I'm just surprised at the lack of info. I can see the names of the board members on the offy site but most I wouldn't know from Larry.
- but I do agree that without their own website the Trust is very low profile other than on matchdays these days - and I wouldn't recognise a couple of the Board members either.

Re: Gill Wignall
It does seem to me that it was a pity that a Supporter's Trust wasn't up and running for at least a few years before Max Griggs decided to put the Club up for sale. Unfortunately, it seems that the only purpose of the Trust was to actually run the Club rather than just have a say, as was the main aim of Supporters Trusts as conceived by Supporters Direct, in the running of the Club.Formic wrote:...... the Trust is very low profile other than on matchdays these days - and I wouldn't recognise a couple of the Board members either.
Therefore, with the demise of fan ownership and the passing of the Club to Keith Cousins, many rank and file fans couldn't see the benefit of remaining a Trust member.
Perhaps the time has now arisen for the Trust Board to restate some it's aims and intentions for the Trust in light of the recent change in stewardship of the Club. Otherwise the Trust may continue to be viewed as some sort of low profile and exclusive Supporter's Club.
Re: Gill Wignall
I'd agree with that.
I've got the impression, rightly or wrongly, that there was more communication between the club and the fans before the Trust was formed than when it came into being - and there is even less now.
Didn't we have two representatives attending board meetings (Fergal and Shaun?) before the Trust arrived.
I remember we did get Paul Hadjuk's updates in the programme at one point regarding KC's takeover, which were very good, and we had the occasional Trust Meeting - but none of that happens now.

There was and Pigman was also involved IIRC through rdfcNet.Formic wrote:

The big turn off for me was in the early days, prior to the official launching of the Trust in April 2005, from an initial meeting of a proposed fund raising section I got the distinct impression that certain people had already appointed themselves into executive positions, prior to any formal elections.
As I said earlier, now is the time for the Trust to re-energise and this is perhaps something for Helen Thompson to address.
Re: Gill Wignall
I haven't been involved with the Trust for a while now but I'd have to agree that it looks like it has become nothing more than a glorified supporters club that raises a not insignificant amount of money for the Youth team.
I would like to see it re-energised with, perhaps, some new faces to help freshen things up.. a topic for discussion at the fans forum I think.

I'd agree with that - although I'm not sure the Fans Forum is the right place to discuss it, as that will be a Club event. I think the Trust Board as it currently stands needs to hold some kind of forum on it's own - they have had an injection of funds via KC's approach to ticket pricing this season. It would be nice to know what monies are going where (I'm not sure there's been an AGM for a while either).Diamondsforever wrote:I haven't been involved with the Trust for a while now but I'd have to agree that it looks like it has become nothing more than a glorified supporters club that raises a not insignificant amount of money for the Youth team.

I see it's been almost six years now since things began for the Trust " - http://www.thediamondsfc.com/page/NewsD ... 70,00.html

I think the fans forum is the ideal place though to ask the new Chairman what he would like from the Trust; it would give the Trust Chairperson (last I heard that was Warren, but that was a long time ago) a basis from which to work. Several changes on the Club board over the last few weeks may enourage some fans to return to the Trust (and I include myself in that).

There is an agm coming up soon so any members get along and then they can see what fund raising has been spent on and what is needed for the future.
The thing is a lot of people talk the talk but never walk the walk as in a lot of things.
