Re: Gill Wignall
Gill's a nice lady and a proper fan - I think she'll be an excellent addition to the board.

Re: Gill Wignall
Gill hasn't been part of the Trust for a good while - but Helen was fulfilling that criterion until recently.Trek wrote:Will this be judged as a Supporters Trust representative on the board?AndyKirkup wrote: I think she'll be an excellent addition to the board.

Re: Gill Wignall
Interesting to note that Gill isn't in the Trust, I wonder why? Still it brings up a few questions for the fans forum as to the Trust's role within (assuming it has one) the new club set-up.
I was looking for info on the Trust and now that the website isn't there I'm surprised there isn't a blog considering these are free and the Trust could make some small income from them (or the Travel club).

Re: Gill Wignall
I might not have been too clear - I was referring to the Trust Board.
Regarding ToD's other point regarding Blogs - that would only work if there was a lot of news to impart to readers, and someone felt it worth dedicating time to do the updates rather than spending that time helping the Trust in other ways. Given it would need to be done by someone on the Trust Board, and they are already about 50% down in numbers, I think that would be a luxury for the few pennies in revenue it might generate.
KC had no objections to any items from the Trust being carried on the OWS if required.

Re: Gill Wignall
Let me expand on my point.
I re-joined the Trust this year, primarily to get around the well discussed increase in prices. I sent in me and my mates' application forms and all we received back was a membership card. Surely I should also have received a set of rules and an introduction to the Trust board at the very least with it? A sort of a welcome pack. This is the kind of info that might be useful to put on the net in a blog (or the official site?), and at least I can download my own therefore not costing the Trust anything. I'm not knocking what people do I'm just surprised at the lack of info. I can see the names of the board members on the offy site but most I wouldn't know from Larry.

Yes ToD the role of the trust with the new owners is not clear really, when keith was chaiman the trust gave a lot of help into help paying towards maintainance of the ground ect, with also certain fund raising to help the youth set up.
Overall i think there is not enough support of the events put on by the trust, you always end up with the same people supporting it ,which does filiter into helping the club.
