That's a load of rubbish. Calder, Beasants, HT et all should have been aware of the amount outstanding and to claim otherwise won't hold water. That's what accounts are for.Olly wrote: Says that our argument is based on the fact we had the change of ownership before the financial reporting period with the reports made by Calder.

But it was widely publicised that the club was handed over debt-free? Maybe someone didn't hand it over exactly how it was told? Just a thought you know.

Re: 5 Points Deducted
I'm just frustrated at the financial mess these two have got us in in less than five months and my fear is that the Conference board will kick us out. If there were debts hidden in KC's tenure then the Beasants hold full responsibility for not carrying out due diligence. Two of Diamonds wrote: This internet forum blame game is far too easy Paul, who have you got lined up to replace them with ;) ?
I know - we'll form a Trust and do it ourselves - OH !
My only hope is that KC will resume control as I'm lead to believe that players wages for February were actually paid by a party who has an interest in Nene Park. ;)
Your comment about the Trust running the Club is, I know, made in jest but they really ought to be monitoring the situation on the fans behalf to get the full and true picture of our actual financial situation.

On the highlighted bit that may not have been the case, maybe due diligence showed up the debts, but when the club was handed over "debt-free" maybe someone decided not to cough up?Trek wrote: If there were debts hidden in KC's tenure then the Beasants hold full responsibility for not carrying out due diligence. I'd be amazed if the current landowners didn't set up a lease or rental arrangement which has further impacted on the club's financial position.
As for the Trust, whilst there is a certain Trust secretary in place I very much doubt the current owners will have any involvement with them. From the Trust AGM I feel they believe the Trust gave away the land and club far too quickly and easily. In fact Steve did say why didn't they let the club go into administration so it could have been sorted out properly? He also said they have met with Max, and have the utmost regard for him. Steve even jumped to Max's defence when someone mentioned something about him.

Re: 5 Points Deducted
I assumed that 'debt-free' meant the £512k loan that KC originally gave to the Trust in 2006. Also it doesn't matter if you start debt-free if you're continuing to build up the debts from that point on. After starting debt-free we should have restructured so our outgoings were less. Obviously that's easier said than done. Two of Diamonds wrote:But it was widely publicised that the club was handed over debt-free? Maybe someone didn't hand it over exactly how it was told? Right, first things first. What the hell is with the mood swings on here? We've very rapidly switched back to headless chicken mode on here. It's been just over 48 hours since I spoke to them and guess what? Nothing has happened to change my mind on what I was told.
We need a bit of patience, more rational thought, less 2 + 2 = 348347, less finger pointing and petty insults, and to calm down. Headless chicken mode helps no one at the moment, including the posters themselves.

Mad Dog we understand why you can't pass on certain privaledged info fed to you by the Beazants but see it from our point of view because we only have bad news to go on!
The majority of the players haven't been paid on time again this week, we cannot register any players until we pay certain bills, we have a winding up order from the caterers and we face the prospect of losing the best manager the club has ever had on the basis of a lack of trust!
The majority of fans I've spoken to think you have been hoodwinked and to me a hastily arranged creditors meeting without inviting all the creditors is in my book one meeting away from Administration!
