We wanted a friendly match to keep up the momentum of Thursday night football, and FootballCV Reds were good enough to agree to play us at relatively short notice. The game gives us another opportunity to bring in some much needed revenue as we build for next season, and if FCV hadn't agreed to it we would probably have missed out.

Football CV Reds are not to blame for our situation and we can't boycott them just because they use the NP facilities at the expense of our own needs. Starms obviously feels the game will do our lads good both to give any trialists or new signings gametime and to keep the team gelling. Not forgetting the chance to improve our own financial situation ready for next season.

How about you donate a few hundred quid then as I'm sure we would make this on the gate etc.

Footballcv hire the nene park facilities from kc not ktfc as far as I see it.

Unbelievable that people are giving grief for a friendly arranged against another team, a friendly arranged to benefit our players and our club, a friendly arranged at the last minute when lots of other clubs whom were contacted we're unable to play at such short notice.

To be honest KGB never has anything positive to say so it's not unexpected. I can understand the ill feeling towards Cousins ( i personally wouldn't piss on him if he was on fire) but it's not about him, the beasents or anyone else, it's about AFC R&D and doing what is best for us.

Whos going then? Me +1 or maybe 2 others. Im looking forward to hopefully seeing the 2 new lads in action, im pretty sure they will bolster our strikeforce.
