Unclear as to whether he'll continue to play for us. He's going to be training with them.

A bizarre situation, one i can't remember seeing before.

And surely we're not stupid enough to let them buy out the clause for Tomlin?!

I would have thought he would continue to play for us this season, as he can't move yet as we are outside the transfer window... I could be wrong, but I guess we'll have to wait and see what this "press announcement" is about.

You're right about the fact that he can't play for them, he can't even officially sign for them can he? But that website suggests that he's going to be training with them. Giving us 100k+ right now seems stupid given that they haven't even signed him. Anything could happen to Joe in the next couple of months, what happens then?

I would of thought he would be able to play for us this season as obviously they can't officially sign him at the moment as it's outside the transfer window. You would of thought it would be in everyone's best interest for him to keep playing for us until the end of the season. Unless of course he was to get injured playing for us.

Side note he does'nt look that happy in that picture ..... So from that annoucement on there doe's that mean Evans il be in goal at the weekend ?? Surely we get to say a goodbye to the lad ... Be a lil silly if he's gone already and won't play another game for us

I suppose it's right that he is going straight there just to train till next season. What's happens if he breaks his arm before end of season with us?...

Looks like he's gone then, I highly doubt he would train for one team and play for another one.

True, but he could break his arm in training. I'd of thought the best thing to do would be for him to continue playing first team games and continue his development during our last 6 games of the season.
But then obviously not training with us all week will not really help on a matchday as he won't have been involved in the build up to the game. So we have probably seen him in a Diamonds shirt for the last time.
