Think a curtain Van Man has just kept him in a job for a few more weeks, still their loss is our gain.

I think Botterill played for Rushden Town so technically he's one of ours.

On the plus side he does know a couple of the players.
I believe Botterill and Andy Peaks worked together in management at Long Buckby around 2008.
"In January 2007 with a new Chairman Guy Loveland on board, Glenn Botterill was appointed manager who brought in former Rushden and Diamonds player Andy Peaks as his number 2. New players were brought in and the Bucks again finished runners up in the UCL Premier Division in 2007-08. Botterill left in January 2009."
In our current squad Bunting, Dunkley, Koriya and Ling were all important members of his 2012 Long Buckby title winning squad and he could be just the man to know what it takes to get us out of the UCL.

Another interesting tweet from John Chand.
@JCmourninho: Is now the time to return......
Perhaps he's returning to Holbeach.

@JonDunhamNT: Looks like @GaryMills10 has applied and is one of the fans' favourites for the manager's job @AFCRD following the departure of Mark Starmer

I get the feeling that the more qualified candidates won't announce their candidatures on Twitter.

Maybe, but having a discussion and seeking advice from Craig Adams he maybe using him just as a 'sounding board' rather than seeking similar advice from anyone closer to AFCRD. I think his heart is with AFCRD. ;)
