I'll throw a name into the ring. Ricky Marheineke, who did a fine job at Huntingdon Town until earlier in the season before accepting the assistant manager's role at Histon. With the Stutes recent problems you wonder whether he will be surplus to requirements at Histon?
Was very impressed with his astute tactics in the first match against us and the way he spoke after the match when invited to be interviewed by AFCRD TV.

I would absolutely love Chris Hope to be gaffer but I know with his work commitments affecting his playing career I doubt he'll have the time to commit to management!!

I think Ricky Marheineke would be a good call.
Would be interesting to see a list of applicants, whether or not that will be put in the public domain by the club I don't know. I'm sure a few names will be banded about over the next few weeks.

Would be inclined to wait & see how Peaksy gets on during the remainder of the season.

Agree... He also has the knowledge, contacts, and the respect of individuals at a higher level in the game.Brownie wrote:Would be inclined to wait & see how Peaksy gets on during the remainder of the season.

I agree about Peaksy - he's got the rest of the season to show us what he can do - maybe the promotion will help his car parking ;)
I doubt a list of applicants will be made public for confidentiality reasons - but it'll be interesting to see who we end up with. It's a job for someone who can handle pressure and is ambitious!!

I know it's vanishingly unlikely, but the romantic in me wants to give the position to Andy Burgess. If Peaks puts in a good show I think he'd be well-suited.
