We nearly did it again but finally we got that vital first win, I still don't think Lorraine or Berwick however much they work and they do will score us enough goals at this level. Also last season we could get away with playing Harris at right back but I thought he was badly exposed tonight although he wasn't helped much by spriggs who still hasn't impressed me yet. I don't blame Harris because he is the sort of bloke who will play anywhere and try his best for the team.

Two MOMs in two starts for a player signed with pedigree.

Do you not think we could do with some more signings like Claudiu Diamond_Wolf? These four games have clearly shown we can perform brilliantly at this level, especially if we get our squad right. For me, that's getting some more players on the level of Claudiu. Personally, I think it's clear that we need a striker. Maybe a few more positions too. Looking upwards after a great start, but can get better. :D

Personally I think we should allow the players that got us here the chance to grow into the League!

Sure strengthen when we need to, but wholesale change isn't required. I think a healthy dose of reality is required - we've come up and look good, I think we're a good bet for a top 5 place but I've never thought we were favourites for the title.

Some of our players will take a lot from last night and I think we'll steadily improve - I honestly don't think we need to move a lot of players on to do that, we can show some loyalty and give them a chance. Win on Saturday against one of the seasons early leaders and we're right back in the mix :)

I fully endorse what Pigman says. If we are not in the top third after 10 games then maybe that will be the time to consider our options, but I fully expect us to be amongst the serious contenders for promotion. Nobody has outplayed us to date and we have been our own worst enemy.

As good as Hoban has been so far he is a "flair player", some may say selfish, and no team can carry too many of them.
We still have Wilkinson and Kilbride to get back from their hols and I think they will make their mark in due course.

I thought Aylesbury were a decent side, played some good stuff at times, but so did we.

Hoban looks like a very good acquisition. We switched off for their goal, but glad the lads didn't let their heads drop, and got the goal in the end!

I think 2-1 was about right, but Aylesbury may feel they deserved a point.

You make it sound like getting other players of this caliber is easy and cheap. It's worth remembering that Peaks has a budget to stick to and that quality players will already be playing for other clubs.
R.I.P Dale. We will never forget you.
