Away on holiday at the moment so will miss this one - gutted as AUFC are my hometown team and the side I used to watch over 20 years ago !! Even watched them play England once at their old ground! Hopefully a chance to leapfrog over them in the table with our first win though !!

First game of the season for me, got a feeling it might be one of those nights where it just clicks. Can't wait.

Back four will be as started against Petersfield.
Kilbride will replace Spriggs.

I think its time to revert back to the conventional 4-4-2 as it suits players better at this level. Either have Berwick up top with Lorraine or bring in Joseph. The one man up top works to a certain extent but it hasn't brought a win yet

Anybody else worried about who's going to score 20+ goals for us this season, Lorraine and Berwick both work hard but I'm not sure they can score enough goals at this level. Maybe Joseph when he's given a run could do it.

I'm not worried about goal scoring. We didn't have a 20+ goalscorer last season and saw goals throughout the team.
My concern is the silly goals that we have conceded when bossing each match. However these goals have been conceded whilst Liam Dolman hasn't been on the pitch and that shows just how much we miss him.
Early days but we could have had maximum points and should have had 7 points so 3 points gained is disappointing.

From what I've seen so far we're playing well - just poor choices being made at key times and sloppy defending, defenses are going to be better and more organised at this level, so it's going to be harder to beat teams. I'd predicted more results by the odd goal before the season started as a result.
I think once the first win comes confidence will flow and we'll slowly climb up the table. I'll be very surprised if we're not top 5 come the end of the season. I think the best way to see games out is to keep our shape, and that shape should be 4-4-2 in my opinion.
If we were playing badly I'd be more worried - but we look good and will improve as time goes on. I think we'll win 2-1 tomorrow !

Tom is missing some great chances so as soon as they start to go in we'll begin to climb the table. I wonder if Claudio could do a job up front? I agree I think 4 - 4 - 2 could be the answer.
