So now whenever George says something is going to happen we know that the complete opposite will actually take place. It's funny because I'm sure he said "I'll take K*ttering back to the Conference", so I'm now looking forward to them going two steps in the opposite direction, to the UCL Premier.

*KTFC will notify when free tickets applications have been successful. Without notification, free tickets will be invalid.

I like this disclaimer from Sausage, so on the night they will be declared invalid and you will be obliged to hand over a tenner on the door or trudge back home made to look a complete tool.

K*ttering Town owe £1.2m to 71 creditors, including players, local businesses and energy companies, BBC Radio Northampton has learned.

The details are included in the club's proposal to enter into a Company Voluntary Arrangement (CVA).

The creditors' meeting is scheduled to take place on 15 June.

And acting chairman George Rolls said that if the CVA is approved, a "new beginning" will follow "the sorry chapter of the last 18 months".

The proposal states that the planned takeover of the club will only go ahead if the CVA is approved.

Several former members of staff and 11 players are among the creditors, with four of them owed more than £7,000, most of which they are unlikely to be paid under the CVA proposal.

"When I came in and addressed the players [in February], what I said was that if the business hadn't applied for an insolvency act or administration by the 1st of June, we would be paying their back-dated pay," Rolls told BBC Radio Northampton.

"If we did [apply for a CVA], though, they would only be entitled to £800 from the government, plus whatever there would be from a CVA - or nothing if the club was liquidated."

Last summer, K*ttering quit Rockingham Road, their home since 1897, to take up tenure of Nene Park, the former ground of Rushden & Diamonds, in nearby Irthlingborough.

As a result, they owe East Northants District Council more than £28,500 and K*ttering Borough Council over £2,000, the latter for 'empty premises' rates.

Other creditors include the Child Support Agency, St John's Ambulance and Northants Police, as well as football clubs Blackpool and Crystal Palace.

The largest sums are owed to current owner Imraan Ladak, shareholder Ray Khan and Rolls, but the proposal states that "the current directors will waive the right to repayment of their loans under the arrangement".

Khan is set to remain with the club after the takeover, but the CVA will only be approved if creditors holding cumulatively over 75% of the debt allow it.

"Of course all the creditors have been let down, but this is a solution," said Rolls.

"Some people will suffer financially, and I apologise for that, but for those who [continue to] work for us, hopefully they will get money back over time with new business from the football club.

"If the CVA isn't approved, the club will go into liquidation and the creditors will get nothing.

"Over the last three years, I've lost over £600,00 with companies going insolvent. I know how the creditors all feel."

The proposal states the club will switch to part-time football next season, "with the consequent saving in players and back room staff wages," although Rolls maintains that their intention remains to stay a full-time club.

K*ttering have been provisionally placed in the Evo-Stik Southern Premier following relegation from the Blue Square Bet Premier.

Despite that, Rolls insisted approval of the CVA will lead to a brighter future for the club, saying: "The debts were historical debts and, since I've been at the club, we've managed to bring those debts down.

"The sorry chapter of the last 18 months will come to an end next Friday and then it's a new beginning. K*ttering Town will prosper again and it won't be long before the Poppies are back in the Conference."

But he added: "We do need the supporters to rally round. We've sold one season ticket in the last six weeks."

Oh dear, serious problems now at the scum! One season ticket in six weeks, fans really rallying round good old sausage!

Everything else just pales - this is the single reason why the club will hit the wall. At the tale end of last season the vocal old guard pissed off everyone and anyone they could on Poppycock. Next to no one posts there now because no one trusts Ladak, Rolls or likes the arrogance of the few remaining. The support is so fractured they'll never replace the volunteers let alone all of the absent ST sales.

I don't like to see any club go to the wall but my experience of KTFC is that there is no other outcome and some of the rude old men on the forum deserve every ounce of it.

It looks like the BBC even enjoy reporting on the circus that is K*ttering Town, given that at best they are going to be one league below Brackley and Corby who have had no BBC coverage I can remember, and given they don't generally cover clubs below Step 1 Conference level, let alone Step 3.

I like the "600,00" - is that meant to be £600 £6,000 or £60,000 ? Either way a small amount compared to what creditors stand to lose ;)

I wonder how many of the creditors have looked at what Weymouth are actually paying against their CVA, and realise the chances of getting 10% of what they are owed are negligble - and which of them will really continue to deal with the club on the off chance they might get paid this time?

I just sense that the original "we'll get the CVA passed on the nod as we have over 75% under control" has fizzled away.

I disagree, I think 75% will be achieved without any problems (of course I'm hoping that isn't the case ;) ). Rolls is a sly figure and he won't have done the CVA if there was any chance of it failing IMO. I really hope I'm wrong! :D

On the solo season ticket - That's very funny, however you can't take anything he says at face value so I'm filing that in the bullshit folder.

I'll also be interested to see if the BBC continue with live commentary for them, now that Corby and Brackley are higher. It won't seem fair if they do.

Not if HMRC feel they have been hoodwinked, as Formic pointed out earlier, and apply to the Courts to block the CVA as happened in the Chester City situation.

WTF does that even mean? Proposal says part-time but LOLs says full-time! Surely if you were going to spend £20k a month (and that figure will be nowhere near what's actually spent) surely it would be better to get the best part-time players, rather than scrabble around for the worst full-time players willing to drop down to Step 3 of the non-league system?
